Fresh off the PGA Show, settling into new place, tons of changes taking place and lots on the horizon.

You can ask anything you want and we will be transparent about it all.

You have questions, I can make up some answers.
Go!

I know some sites/forums have volunteer admins and moderators does THP operate on that model or are they full time paid positions?

What's one thing from the PGA show that you saw and now just have to have and will buy? Non-golf club related.

Depends on the position. We have both fully paid and unpaid positions.
All have perks, such as trips, equipment, etc, but some are full 50 hour a week jobs.
In a perfect world, everybody would be fully paid, and there are some monetary times, but not completely.

What do you really think about the square golf backpack/bicycle bag contraption???

Johnnie-O Hoodie that was on the mannequin in the back left of their booth. Its literal perfection.

Throw your **** away, so when you move to a better place, you are not like the rest of the midwesterners that come to FL and can't park in their garage.
Trust me, you dont need your kids prom outfit that didnt make it to midnight anymore.

Anything you didn't expect that you'd want that now you do from the show?

I actually never saw it. That would be a @jdtox question.
Based on his quick video, I would say if I lived in a commuter city, think NYC or Chicago (god help me), I think there is some merit to it. But not for a round of golf, you would still need a bag.

There was not a whole lot that there I had not seen, so no.
Oh ****, yes there is. The THP Beanie. That came post show and I NEED it.

I thought it was kind of silly. Then I talked to someone about its use and its not intended for the course. Its for people who ride the subway or a bike to transport their clubs in a less obtrusive fashion than a golf bag. If you look at it that way, seems a bit more practical.

That hoodie is fire! I went to go buy those shoes I wanted and they don't have my size. Sigh.

Thoughts on mini drivers?

Just because you mentioned it in the headcover thread yesterday.....But how often does a small upstart golf company approach you/THP for a review or a column?

Have you ever seen products you really didn't believe in, and avoid covering them for that type of reason?

Thoughts on mini drivers?
They serve a purpose, but its not a catch all.
Smaller head is easier for face closure. Shorter shaft is easier to control.
CAN be more forgiving than a fairway wood with more speed (due to loft) assuming weight placement is similar on both.

But they are going to be less forgiving than a driver from a sheer mass stand point and someone might get more benefit by cutting down a driver without the loss of speed.

What’s your favorite meal you’ve had at an experience in recent memory?

Are you excited to play some golf this year?

Of course. We get contacted all of the time and it has to fit the audience.

With that sad, a bit of a tangent. Rankings. They are all ********. Nobody should tell someone else what is best. My belief anyway. Educate the golfer, arm them with more knowledge so they understand what is happening and why and then let them tell you what is best. These websites, influencers and youtubers all have this all backwards and it leads to so much misinformation when it doesnt have to. Im a big believer that if you have the audience, use it for good, not to bilk.

How are you?

What’s your favorite meal you’ve had at an experience in recent memory?
Tough call. We plan so many and there are so many good ones. If I go just off last year the one that stands out the most is night two at GrayBull with the tasting menu. It was absolutely insane.
Executive Chef from Graybull came from Hidden Creek where he learned under the person we call "Cheffrey". He is a master and Hidden does have what many consider the best food in the network.

Are you excited to play some golf this year?
You know what? I actually am. I havent played since the Grandaddy, and the life has been a bit chaotic the last 4-6 months, but I am thinking about playing this weekend.

Did the PGA show change your opinion of any companies or did anything surprise you?

Maybe you’ve answered this before, but I’ve never seen it - how do you guys randomize and select the experience attendees?

What are your hobbies and things you enjoy outside of golf.
