Hi guys and gals I have been collecting sportscards for about 5 years and really love it. Im currently involved in collecting baseball and hockey but could see myself getting into trying to collect some golf cards, never knew they existed until a couple years ago. Anyway my fav baseball players to collect are Andrew Benintendi from the Red Sox, Trea Turner from the Washington Nationals and Mookie Betts from said Red Sox. Im also collecting David Pastrnak from the Boston Bruins and Patrice Bergeron from the same Bruins. I dont know but there is always some excitement to opening a new pack of cards and finding something cool. Anyway, lemme know what u collect

Yes. An unfortunate incident led to the disposal of the gazillion cards I collected as a kid. All I have now are a complete series of football cards from like 1983 or something.

I used to be. Most of my stuff is 90s into early 2000s with a few things since. Mostly baseball

Same here. Something I used to do with my dad. Still have them all up at my folk's place. Mostly baseball, but we'll over a thousand cards including some really cool, limited style collections.

Did you have one of the Beckett Books to check card value? We used to go trade some based on that thing.

Sure did. Still have a few of them too.
Got back into it with basketball in 2003 so have most of the lebron class rookies in topps chrome. I think inwent crazy too with buying boxes of the bowman baseball cards trying to get autos around then too.
Sadly all of those limited edition type things killed it for me.

I also experimented with etopps which was like an electronic version of sports cards /stock market type trading.

Used to when I was younger. Primarily basketball cards! There was nothing more exciting than opening a pack and getting a Michael Jordan card! Still have all of my Jordan cards and also have some nice rookie cards.

Collected baseball cards from mid 70's to mid 80's. A few select cards after that. Have every one of Clemens' cards for about the first 10 years of his career. All Red Sox, of course, and nothing after that. Did get back into it when Upper Deck came out with the golf cards 17 or 18 years ago. Have not bought any cards since.

Back in the day when it was really popular I used to collect. I'd say like 1988-1995. I had everything! I loved older stuff and had cards from all the superstars of the 40's, 50's, and 60's. Mantle, Aaron,Mays, Clemente, etc. Rookies of a lot of them (no 52 Mantle). I also liked the old tobacco cards and would buy lower grade cards of guys like Cy Young, Christy Mathewson, Walter Johnson, etc. I love old time baseball! I had every O-Pee-Chee hockey set from 1972-1990. I had everyones rookie cards, all the superstars from the 70's and 80's (Gretzky, Lemieux, Hull, Lafontaine, Yzerman, etc). I still have a Gretzky rookie kicking around in the garage somewhere. I used to store them in my parents house and when they sold the house I had nowhere to store that many cards. I stored them in those big monster boxes and just put them on the lawn and said free for the taking. I had been through them many times so there were no superstar or rare cards but i'm sure there were loads worth $5-$10 dollars. There was easily over a million cards on my front lawn in boxes. It looked liked a sports card shop went out of business! I don't regret it,they had to go and hopefully someone got some nice cards. I still have a box of most of my expensive cards somewhere around here. I haven't looked through some boxes in almost 20 years! When I get into a hobby I jump in with both feet. You don't see me just dipping a toe in the water to test it out. How do you think I wound up with over 30 drivers in 3 years!

Collected tons of baseball cards in the 90s. They're somewhere at my parents house now. I only wonder if any actually have value now...

I've got a bunch of football and basketball cards. My son got into it a few years back. Cards are like artwork now and just as pricy

I used to as a kid, and then again when I was in my early 20's.

At one point I had an Upper Deck Shaquille O'Neal rookie card. Adored it. Have no idea where it is now.

I laughed when going through my dad's cards from when he was a kid. Stuff that would have been worth thousands, if it hadn't been put between his bike spokes as a child. I hope the funny sound they made was worth it LOL.

Did a ton when I was in my mid teens and a few here and there since. I was a fan of the simpler times when it was just Topps, Upper Deck, Donruss, Score etc...the new era with 30 some different brands/styles turned me off to the whole idea of collecting. A box of cards for a grand? No thanks

I did for a long time. Then I started just buying Jose Canseco cards. He was my dude. I have a couple hundred of his cards. All worth maybe a dollar now total. I can't tell you how much I spent over the years buying his cards. A couple grand I'm sure. The one card that eluded me for years was his Donruss rookie. I couldn't find it or afford it. Then one day I was at a show and a guy had it for $30. I snagged it and was happy. I went two rows over and a guy had it for $15. I wasn't so happy after that.

I used to when I was younger. I still have all of my more valuable ones stored away in my house. I've got a couple of 80's Michael Jordan cards. A couple Wayne Gretzky ones. My best one is a 1962 Mickey Mantle.

I have a ton of complete sets still from the late 80's into the early 90's. Almost worthless as sports cards go, I had a lot of fun going to Schinders to try and complete the sets.

When I was a teenager I collected baseball and hockey cards. I actually just found them at my mom's house, may need to see if some are worth any dough

Use to collect hockey cards have mostly late 80's early 90's and some older classic cards.

Used to have boxes upon boxes of cards. Basketball, baseball, football, you name it. I had this box of NFL cards that had gold around the edges, I used to think I was going to make millions off of them.

Used to collect in the 80s and early 90s. Stopped but parents took care of all of my cards until I got into a position to bring them to where I live. Still have them, just collect other things now.

I just recently started to collect again, and actually got one of my all time favorite players for the cubs last night, my sister got it as a tip at her casino, and she just handed it down to me.
