Anybody using their Apple watch for gps purposes? What apps have you tried/liked?

I'm a laser guy myself, but the wife wants to get the apple watch and doesn't want to wear both that and her GPS watch while playing.

I use Golfshot.

Currently using hole 19 and seems very reliable ( based in Australia )
Would like to try fungolf but it does not have some of the course I play.

I use Track My Golf and I think it is the only one that can use the watch GPS stand alone without the phone backup. I have used it for over a year and never feel the need to use the Garmin.

I use Golfshot.

Another vote here for Golfshot. The only thing I don't like with the watch app (or maybe an update) is that it switches holes before I can enter my score while walking to the next tee box and then it may not save the score I input.

I use Arccos and love it. But it uses the GPS on your phone for now and to get all the access out of it I use the arccos sensors.

I liked Golfshot.

Golfshot for years right here.

Golfshot Plus, TrackMyGolf and now Arccos 360. I really love Arccos, but there is a hefty upfront cost with the sensors. It provides outstanding statistics and analysis.

I use hole 19, best free option I've found.
