ANNOUNCEMENT ArborLinks will Host the WorldWide Golf Championship in 2026

Does anyone have any thoughts on something we could do to make this better?

I honestly always feel like it flies by and everything is a bit of a blur. Like last year I couldn't even squeeze in enough contests in the evenings to give prizes away. But I also think there is just something missing. The vendor sponsored events have the company history to leverage to get buy in, and obviously giving someone a full bag of clubs isn't going to hurt when creating buzz. I'm not quite smart enough to figure out how to match that.

I'd love to hear people's thoughts. Especially those who have attended in the last few years. But also anyone, for the record.
Let me ask you a question. Other than to get your name out there what does WWG and associated companies want out of this event? I think that could help shape some answers.

If that's not an appropriate question I'm sorry.

I tried to go through last year's event, but it's really hard to find the meat and potatoes with so many pages of banter

From an ignorant newbie's perspective, and trying to be completely transparent and honest: If the event just says there will be "swag" I don't really know what that means or what that entails. It could be things that I personally don't find valuable. So there might be pause to join up if the entry fee is more expensive + those that might have to fly.

If it's a a bit more of a concrete thing and something that ties into being a major golf store such as: Each participate will get to choose a 26' driver to use and keep during the event, that would likely generate a lot more interest and buzz.

The easy for me to say, hard for you to do is something related to Cool Clubs like a fitting session on the range. But I know that ain't easy to do and would cost a boatload.

But great question, because it once more got me looking through the WWG brands. I'd somehow skimmed that getclubs.com was yours too. The packages look really good and priced insanely low. I need to keep that one on my mind.

Edit: but honestly, I think you're doing a fantastic job with WWGC!

I dont have any suggestions beyond just keep doing what you do. I feel like you kill it each time. It is fun, engaging, off the charts swag...all around killer. I wish i had something to suggest, and am sure others will, but appreciate you even asking!

This is high on my wishlist. Gonna be a blast i am sure.

Yeah, I was sure you'd love the creative minds of THPers coming together for this :D
How many more stupid suggestions can we make before JB gives us a timeout by temporarily locking the thread?

I do feel like he will tolerate a lot. And judge us while doing it :ROFLMAO:

I mean honestly man, I don't know what you could have done to make the 2025 WWGC better.

I know that isn't super helpful in terms of feedback, but every aspect of it was fantastic IMO. The SWAG is insane, especially the team customized pieces. Also one night we didn't get to go out on the putting green due to weather. Nothing you can do about that.

The experience was everything I could have asked for and more.

Awesome news. Can’t wait for this one. Always a fun follow

There was a thread created that listed out all the SWAG we were going to receive as participants (except for a few surprise pieces) as the event was drawing near. Otherwise yes, it would have been hard to find a list of the gear in that thread outside of seeing the photos we posted of said SWAG haul. Which was bonkers.

It's pretty freaking great.

Thank you!

I think I started on page one and worked my way to the first dinner. Then I came back and started backwards and worked all the way back to page 160. Was not having much luck there. Looks like a great time though!

It was incredible. That was my first ever THP experience and honest to goodness it was so much fun. Every single person who wants to get into an experience should be trying to get into the WWGC. I hope that I'll someday get to go to it again.

The WWG crew is so much fun to hang and talk shop with, and @Lougle is the man.

Joggers?

But seriously, I'll see if I can think of something.

Just keep doing what you do. You've always treated the THP forum really well - both at events, and away from them.

All I can add is that it looks like a freakin blast from following along in the live thread

I thought of the same. Was looking at last years SWAG and event prizes and thought maybe related to the drivers that were part of the prize pool, there could be a fitting element included. Whoever won it could document the fitting process at Cool Clubs, Golf Mart or wherever is accessible/closest to them as a fun way post-experience to showcase WWG and the fitting side of the stores.

Either way, this one is always a great follow.

How about mailed out swag in the run up to the event. Every couple weeks or so a new apparel piece or accessory, linked back to wwg. Reviews as you go building hype.

//Awaits JB eye roll. 😆

Part of the problem with that is the closest WWG retail location is 6 hours away from me. I wouldn't mind documenting the virtual fitting they spoke of last year, but they mentioned its more for people that don't have a local in person fitting spot.

Oh good lord.
Nothing says perfection quite like size couch cover rolling up to the first dinner in his gifted shirt, that he spilled deep fried mayo balls all over, but managed to somehow to get his crocs dirty.

I actually kind of like this idea - could be a great way to build hype in the lead-up. Assuming here, but I'm sure a ton of brands that you work with @Lougle would love to partner on drops / boxes for the event.
