Are single seat carts/vehicles the future for golf now?

Just happened to come across this, single rider carts at True Blue

The one thing missing for me would be a roof. That kinda comes in handy during desert summers!

I see that shock absorber on the seat, better suspension would be a plus. Most golf carts have minimal suspension and are rough rides on bumpy terrain.

I don’t think dual rider carts will ever go away completely. It also seems these single rider options come at an additional cost at the moment that is also a barrier.

Not necessarily actually. Especially with where the main cart manufacturers are currently with pricing.

I mean additional cost at the course. Due to being a novelty.

I don't know how things will go, but I think one-person carts are a great idea and should speed up play noticeably.
I don't know about wear on the course.

Faster golf was never my big priority, but plenty of players would like to see it.
I still believe in playing in order, however.
