Hi, I'm someone who wears sunglasses everytime I'm outside and therefore constantly wear them on the course. I'm wondering if the sunglasses marketed for golf are actually beneficial? Would love to hear thoughts from people who have used them or even heard anything about them?

Tried goodr, rayban and Oakley and I hated them all. I used their golf specific lenses too.

I’ll usually wear my regular tint sunglasses when I play and then take them off when I have to hit

I just use my regular sunglasses. I never take them off unless I’m looking for a ball in the woods where there are shadows.

Yes. They are. Large thread posted where several of us were lucky enough to review them.

I've worn Oakley prescription glasses every round for about 5-6 years.

Love them and the prism lenses are perfect for me

I wear Tifosi with the AC Red tint that work well. I'll eventually get a pair of Scheydens.

I occasionally wear sunglasses on the course. Last year I did a testing opportunity here on THP and highly recommend the Scheyden sunglasses. No depth perception issues at all.

I used Oakley prisms a lot last year and the year before. Then when I took them out this year one of the lenses popped out and won’t snap back in and hold.

I’m bummed enough about it that I’m going to buy another pair of some kind of ‘golf’ sunglasses.

I have trouble tracking the ball in the air and the way the golf glasses polarize colors(?) I guess that’s what’s happening idk. Whatever they are doing it helps me see the ball better both in the air and finding it on the ground.

Was going to post this.

Golf specific lenses really are amazing.

Oakley Prism golf glasses wearer here. Have done so for 10 years. They make a difference.

Whatever you do be sure not to wear polarized lenses.

the oakley prizm's are great. Not saying they changed my game at all but they're very good for enhanced clarity and visibility. I can't personally say they help me see the grain or breaks better on the green but I cant play without them now.

Biggest thing regarding glasses is do not wear polarized lenses. They mess with your depth perception

I've been wearing the Oakley Prizm Golf light lens for the past few years, prescription too so I wear them the entire round.
They help show the contrasts and changes on the course so much better than my normal tinted glasses. Balls stand out a lot more as well on the grass and in the woods.

Schedyen and there's no other you need to worry about.

I'm still super annoyed my pair vanished in my house and I still haven't found them.

Try bringing your Oakleys to a Lens Crafters and see if they can help. They have always helped me out with issues with glasses I have had even if I didn’t purchase them there. I went in originally to try and get a nose piece for a pair of Oakleys and they gave me replacement ones for free.

Their customer service has made me try to do business with them when I can.

Regarding the original question I wear prescription Oakleys when I play. I found I had to commit to wearing them to practice. Once I got used to hitting balls on the range I could use them on the course.

Scheyden at this point is the lone golf lens that has completely shocked me.

There are other options out there that are fine, but nothing like that lens.

I really agree with this. I hate standard sunglasses. I listen to my hat at Ballyhack somehow for Alt shot. Put the Scheyden on and never missed a beat.

I've found Oakley prizm lenses to work very well. Recently purchased as pair of Scheyden sunglasses to replace my worn out Oakley's. Haven't had a chance to use them though.

I’d recommend golf specific lenses too.

I have both the light and dark Oakley golf lenses as well as the deep water. Thought they were the best thing ever!

Until I tried the Scheyden sunglasses. Haven't worn the others sense, not even just out and about.

Was coming in here to post this. The Scheydens are legit. They make a big difference for me on sunny days. They are comfortable and help me to see better and removes the glare and eye fatigue.

Wore Oakley Prizm for many years before trying the Scheyden (I went with the lighter tint lens) and immediately sold the Oakley's. Love the Scheyden's so much more.

You know I am an Oakley homer when it comes to sunglasses, I really need to check out the Scheyden glasses.
