Are you brand loyal?

Even before the Grandaddy, I was pretty loyal to Callaway and Cobra. Only club that hasn’t been one of those two in the last five years has been a Taylormade SIM. One of the best drivers I’d used. But after that, I got in to the Grandaddy and have been pretty Callaway oriented ever since.

Still have a Cobra club in my bag though

No. I do tend to match everything because that's how the buying works. I like everything to match, but it doesn't have to.

I have been in the past but not as much anymore. Have still stuck with the same brand of irons and wedges to this point but it has been several years since I have matched up driver and FW brands.

Yes, been Callaway friendly for over 20 years. They make quality irons and woods at a great price break

Not really. I replace clubs in stages mostly. If I get a new driver, I do not automatically replace all my woods. I normally do not have the cash to do that. So, I like to try out new stuff when I'm looking to replace a club and I go with the best equipment for my game at that time.

There are brands I will give the first look. Some I'll take a chance and buy a club blind, which I can't say I'll do for every brand. I ultimately want whatever works best for me though, so if that means deviating, then I will.

Yes I’m brand loyal. But not necessarily in the way you describe. I’ll always be loyal to Cobra and Callaway. As I am loyal to the people I’ve met there. Abd they make great products.

After that, I don’t “need” a matching bag of clubs.

I used to be the guy who had to have the matching driver and fairways, but not anymore. I do have the same make and model in my two hybrids, but that's because they work, and I haven't been able to find one or the other that can better them. My irons match as do my wedges, although they do not need to match each other.

Could I rock a brand 'A' driver, brand 'B' three wood and a brand 'C' five wood? Absolutely!

edit: I just realized that I may not have correctly answered the intent of the thread. I will always give the brand I'm currently using first shot when the new stuff comes out, but if another make and model works better for me I have no problem changing.

i have been for stretches. sometimes a brand puts out clubs that speak to me for every spot in the bag, sometimes that same brand moves in a direction that loses me.

Yes - Callaway

because Grandaddy - and all of what they do for the forum.

This is not to disparage the other brands who do a ton for THP - but Callaway has done so much for me that they will ALWAYS get first pass.

Callaway always gets first shot at my bag, because of the Grandaddy and many other reasons as well. I'd consider others if Callaway's offerings didn't work best for me for whatever reason, but they'll always get the first look/first consideration.
I've been starting to explore other options, but same here. If I had been fit into a different OEM's irons this year I would have played them but Callaway is usually my first stop.

I was fairly brand loyal in certain spots more than my entire bag. Before getting my Cobra's, I was fairly brand loyal to Callaway in the driver spot, but the FW's were more up in the air. Irons I had a few and wedges I was fairly loyal to Cleveland.

Now...at least so far....I will most likely be pretty brand loyal to Cobra moving forward with how well these have been working for me.

Play whatever you find that you like at a decent price
It's all good quality stuff

Yes I am. Love Callaway.

Sorta I guess. I’ll give Callaway first look but from there it’s what fits what I’m looking for best.

I would say so as I have played so many other brands that I always keep coming back to TaylorMade for my woods and PING for my irons. It's a toss up for wedges as recently my Cleveland wedges are going on 2 years now. For my putter it depends on what is working and what looks good.

Somewhat..... honestly, I'm not getting paid to play anything, so I'm not going to buy the 3w just because I liked the driver. That said I have a couple brands I tend to stick with because of past experiences both with the equipment and people from the companies.

I fully agree with you but in my case I like my FW woods and Hybrid so well that it was an easy decision for me to make with the Qi10 Max as I just went thru the AiSmoke Max D and the PING G430 10K and the Qi10 has won a spot in my bag for the remaining 2024 season.

If it performs well at a reasonable price it deserves a chance to get into my bag. Brand name is irrelevant. That said, at a demo day earlier this year, I asked to demo the Apex irons. The Callaway rep said I didn’t want to hit them and handed my the Paradym iron Saying this would be better for me. I handed it back to him and said no thanks and walked away. Extremely unlikely a Callaway will be added to my bag again, like ever. Bad customer service will tank a company faster than anything for me.

I just like how the Qi10 line up looks, I can hit the AiSmoke the PING G430 just as well but I wanted to keep my bag more uniformed with what I have as thats just me, I will never say one brand is better than the other just that certain brands perform better for me than others.

I know we are a bit different here but a few recent purchases from some local playing partners got me thinking. If you have a driver from one brand do you automatically purchase the fwy or hybrids from that brand? What about irons and wedges?
I am incredibly brand loyal, and it usually stems from some interaction or experience I’ve had with someone from that brand. I’m Callaway through my entire bag — probably because of how much fun I had with @AT_CG and @JasonFinleyCG at the Callaway Goat Cup. I love rocking floral shirts from Oahu Golf Apparel b/c their owner reached out to me on social to thank me for tagging their brand. Things like that so so far for me — I’ll stay with those brands for a loooooong time.

I used to want everything in my bag to be by the same equipment manufacturer, but not anymore. My bag is all over the place. I do primarily stick with Bridgestone golf balls, but occasionally I will play something different.

Too a fault sometimes.

I am brand loyal. I will give certain brands first shot at my bag if I am making a switch. Mostly because of the generosity shown to me from THP Experiences and my little way of paying it back.

I tend to mix and match brands. I tend to concentrate on Callaway, Titleist and TaylorMade for my woods and hybrids. Irons are typically Mizuno, Srixon maybe Ping. Wedges, I pretty much stick with Callaway or Titleist. Finally for putters, I like TaylorMade and Odyssey the most.
