The only chance we have to play on this course, since it is private, is to play it as a scramble. We will still hit plenty of shots that don’t count, but we also don’t want to take advantage of this opportunity by playing our own balls throughout.

I have entered a scramble with 3 other guys then played our own ball anyway. Nobody cares once you are out on the course. We posted our best ball score which is worse than a scramble would have been.
