CONTEST Bag Boy Mystery Box Sunglass Giveaway

I’ve deleted your link because we don’t allow personal referral links to be posted. He can PM you if he would like but we can’t have it posted
Understood. Didn't know that was the case but makes sense.

In that case anyone who would like a $100 referral to GOLFTEC reach out to me and I'll send it over

Congrats Pat on going to your first event in 6 months!!

Honestly not a fan of Golftec. They have an ideal swing, and depending on your instructor, he may want to try to change you're whole swing. Which IMO never truly works. + I find GolfTec to be a bit overpriced in our northeast area.

I do recommend you go to a local pro and do a lesson every 4-6 weeks just to make sure you are not introducing anything bad into your swing, and do a monthly indoor SIM - to get constant feedback. Near me, I have a PGA toursuperstore - which has sim that you can rent by the 1/2 hour, or get a free 1/2 hour per day if you become a member. Membership is like $200+ dollars - good value there. I find its better to swing for 1/2 hr per day then to go 2X a week and swing for 2hrs.

1 thing I started doing in practice is putting a towel 2 club lengths behind the ball on any driving range mat. You be surprised how often us high handicappers hit behind the ball and the mat cheats/helps our ball. Its painful how many times I hit the towel, but hopefully will improve my swing in the long run.

Good luck.

Do you mean you put a towel two ball lengths behind the ball? If you're making contact with a towel two club lengths behind the ball I have some major, major questions.

lol. I do 2 club lengths as a visual. but I do start 2 club lengths behind since I am a bit stiff. But after I warm up some, then I keep moving the towel closer and closer to the ball to make it tougher on myself.

PGATSS membership is normally $300, sometimes goes on sale for $250. Among other benefits, you get one hour of sim time every day, and discounts on same day extra time if you want.

I'm so confused.

Are you just meaning the width of a club head? A club length is roughly 3 feet...

What are you considering club length? The way I’m sure we are picturing club length is like two club lengths for a dropped ball. That wouldn’t even be in my eyesight

Blue - it maybe tweaked depending on location. but I am still covered under a $199 annual membership - I was grandfathered. But I only get 1/2 hr per day. but the membership does come with 1 free lesson, and 1 club fitting - driver or irons. So 250 or 300 is still pretty good, when you factor in than a small bucket - 40 balls is now running me about $15 at my local range. $20 is getting me a large bucket.

I'm an idiot. club head length. 2 club heads away from the ball. If I hit the towel 2 club lengths away, I would probably need to quit golf.

Well keep the suggestions coming but I could not resist going to at least get the GolfTek Swing Analysis done and get pricing on their packaging I have a guy I have taken lessons with local that I like but he winters in Florida so will be gone the prime time I want to work on things in January and February.

Keep those submissions coming though those sunglasses need a new home

Great gesture! I’d go with the GolfTec lesson package if you truly are committed to doing drills and practicing. I think it would be the fastest way to improve even if that just means decreasing the gap between your best and worst scores.

I'd go with a swing eval at golftec that will give you the numbers you need to hit. The sim membership will give you the place to grind it out once you know.

I missed out on the MB so I’ll throw my hat in the ring with an unconventional entry.

Of your list, #4 AND practice posting and socializing. Those are the two most important aspects to a great THP experience. I went to the Srixon playing my worst golf of the year and still had a great time. Focus on the experience, the camaraderie and bringing the rest of us along to the ride and worry less about how you play.

Well, Golftek eval is scheduled, just got sent a video about swingbox AI too. I might set that up this weekend and run their eval too to compare. I am leaning toward the in-person help of Golftek to really get my fundamentals set, though it will be interesting to see if both find similar flaws.

Keep those entries coming the those classes need a good new home, and I have a USPS priority mail small box just waiting to get used.

GolfTEC lesson packages come with sim practice. Plus it’s about as high tech of a lesson that you’ll find!

For me...it's about repetition...and I think if you add analysis and coaching to that, you're golden. Get the Golftec package and make sure you get their practice sessions too, otherwise I'm not sure how you'd practice if it's snowing out!!

This is not an entry because I got my own Nectar sunglasses in my mystery box;). I was in a similar situation with an experience about 18 months ago. I got a TPI evaluation locally and they gave me a list of exercises to do. My mobility was already decent, but it did improve quite a bit and I got a lot stronger. I'd recommend that as the basis for #4.

If you can combine that with some Golftec lessons, you'll be in great shape.

Tomorrow is the deadline you are only a comment away form some sweet new shades!!!

I would go with a 5 lesson package and then use the rest of the time to really hone in on what you have learned.
Congrats to the Winner @MarMill I will reach out via DM to get your contact details to get you your fancy new Nectar Shades

Well the sunglasses are on there way to a new home and since I already had the small flat rate box and it was only a buck more they are heading there priority mail just remember if they get lost and usps asks any of you guys they were $100 sunglasses
