My knee jerk reaction is the same but I believe it was the Enquirer that broke the John Edwards scandal, ahead of the Times and other 'reputable' papers. They were right about that....

you are correct. the enquirer has a bad reputation because of how they USED to do things (exaggerating and fabricating information in its articles to sell papers). especially after the whole Carol Burnette fiasco back in 1981. but they do some damn good reporting these days. they used to get sued A LOT. not anymore though. because the stuff they print now is usually the truth and now their sources and their stories are scrupulously fact-checked. they were one of the first to report the anthrax attack story, the recent Sarah Palin story (her daughter being pregnant), the John Edwards story, the Tiger Woods story, and many others. Its been almost 30 years since they abandoned the tabloid formula of UFO's, space aliens, and weird monster stories, but people today still associate them with the way they USED to be. they are not the same crap journalism they used to be. they are usually very accurate with their stories these days. im leaning towards believing them this time too

If it turns out to be true, I feel bad for health care reform and socialism in general. They deserve better treatment.

Bah to health care reform, all it amounts to is those of us who have it currently are going to pay more while the toehrs will get it & pay nothing. We need insurance reform not health reform.

I received this rep due to my above post You couldnt be more wrong if you tried Well wise sage who knows all, how's about educating us? If those without jobs will now have healthcare with no ovious means to pay for it, where do you think the money is going to come from??????? The insurance & health care companies aren't going to just give it away for free & lose money. The rest of us will pick up the bill just like we do now days with welfare.

I don't give a crap about the rep, just looking for an answer from someone who would rather leave rep instead of posting a reply on the board.

Some people choose to leave rep rather than starting an argument or debating. While I am not saying if they are right or wrong, it is there way to debate things. It has no meaning, but some people like to use both positive and negative. We have asked to leave it off the board please!
 
And as I mentioned this has ZERO to do with rep, don't care about it one way or the other. Forget about rep & focus on what I requested. How is the government going to cover the costs of 32 million people with healthcare that previously had none???

My reference to health care and socialism was to humoressly suggest that they were like a wife and/or children to Obama. Sort of like the comments made about Elin Woods and her kids. It was a joke. Apparently it was too subtle. It was in no way stating an opinion on health care reform or socialism.

I'm just sayin'.
