That's great. For us, nothing beats reverse sear filets!

whenever you decide you want to spend, look into Grill Grates. Not a knock off, but the actual product. Game changer for pellet grill.I’ve spoiled myself so much that I don’t even order steak when we go out to eat. Even a mid-range “steakhouse” doesn’t make a steak as good as I do. Now if only I could golf half as good I can grill a steak.

With that said I use the Napoleon Sizzle Zone for our reverse sear, but Grill Grates are an absolute game changer.
I’m new to this area. I’ve recently been debating a treager. Is it worth the money and if not. What other options should i look at?

Lots of great stuff in this thread. We have a Traeger. We also have a Grilla and like the Grilla more and it was less money. Pit Boss can be had for much less and works great too.
I went with the Pitt Boss. It is a quality grill at a great price with lots of features. It is single wall construction that may not be ideal for cold weather cooks.
Researching a pellet grill purchase for the spring. I've currently landed on the Rec Tec RT-700. I've looked through the line of Traeger's, Grilla's, and Rec Tec's, and have been most impressed with the Rec Tec. Does anyone on here have a Rec Tec? I did a search and didn't get any hits. In the end, I don't think you can really go wrong with any of them.
I don’t own one, but I’ve heard a lot of great things about them.
I have a 3 year old Rec Tec 340. I got it over the other brands because of the PID controller. It still functions great but I might get a newer one next year maybe a little larger because this was the smallest one they had. I know a couple of guys who have a Traeger and a Grilla and they lover theirs. I have grill grates but don't use them as much as I should since I have a infrared grill next to the smoker and use it to sear meats and do steaks. I need to use those grates more often!Researching a pellet grill purchase for the spring. I've currently landed on the Rec Tec RT-700. Just get one of the smoker blankets and problem solved. That's what I do at the hunting camp and it works awesome. Great point, the PID Controller is critical, shopped them all before I pulled the trigger 3.5 yrs ago, pellet pooper hard to beat for the convenience, lot of good choices out there.I have a 3 year old Rec Tec 340.
