I have straight ICON'S so I can't really give any feedback on blending but in my set the 7 and 8 irons gap perfectly. I have a consistent 10-12 yard gap throughout the whole bag.
a little lead.
My gap is about 10 yards per iron and the 7 to is about the same. That is one of things I have been most impressed with is not having a bigger distance gap at the break point.
Well I can not give any new updates on the irons for 10 to 14 days, I am in quartenteen

I'm ready to pull the trigger on the combo w/ Ptx 4i, just not sure on shaft choice. I like the idea of putting the KBS Tour V in the set and picking the KBS 90 in the 4 iron. Reasonable thought or too much weight difference in shaft between the 5i and 4i? Also just pondering going S300 through the whole set. I'm not a high ball hitter, but I've come to embrace it.
Tour v is 105 correct? If so I don’t think you would have a problem with doing that. @Jman has the shaft knowledge though
I should have clarified. I'm thinking x stiff in Tour V (120g per Ben Hogan website) and stiff in Tour 90 (102g). Could probably get away with stiff in Tour V (110g). Never been fitted but went with the fitter on Ben Hogan's website and they put me in the x stiff. Currently play Project X 6.0 High Launch. Not because I specifically picked out those shafts, mainly because they were on the heads I wanted at the time and figured the HL wouldnt hurt.
I don't know if your local golf shop has one, but mine had this Mizuno shaft identifier tool that was really handy in helping me make my decision. If my local Golf and Ski has one your nearest might as well.

Yea I've heard of those before. Golf Galaxy and Dicks are the closest shops so I'll see if they have one I can use.

I’m going to stop pondering irons now and just keep making wear spots on these.
It’s such a stupid combo for me, the RT’s in these have me hitting players irons way further than I should.

Boy their beautiful! They've come a long way. I still have my old CFT Cavity Backs. They definitely help me break 90s back then.

Have DG 120 X in my Mizuno 919 Tour & NS Pro Modus3 120 X in my Forged TEC.
With the options on Hogan site I’d lean towards the Tour V in a similar weight but I’m intrigued by a graphite option as a test.
Chucking it out there for the smarter folks to weigh in

I have recoils in mine and they pair perfect for me. @Jman gas $$tapers and I know for a fact they pair perfect for him.
I am average swing speed and he is above average

Played 9 holes today got pretty tired but besides that I felt good. The Hogan’s are staying the bag!!! Shot 42 from the blues (3400 yards) and the Hogan’s were so good today.

Such a great set! I've been looking at combo sets on their website today. It's so tempting to order one for that little extra help when I don't get out to play consistently.
