Having this discussion right now with a co-worker. What is your favorite cover song of all time?

Right now its hard for me not to say Korn - Another Brick in the Wall

Easy - faith no more

Respect - Aretha Franklin.

Little Wing - Stevie Ray Vaughan (no disrespect to Jimi)

Blue on black - Five Finger Death Punch

My band played the Kenny Wayne Shepherd (original version) for years.
I sang it and really enjoyed the song.
Then I heard the FFDP version and I fell in love with it.

Blue on black i strongly agree with. One of my favorites by FFDP

RIP Lemmy!

Proud Mary - Ike and Tina Turner

Hurt - Johnny Cash

Hurt — Johnny Cash

Cant leave this out

Apart from the obvious big well known songs, one of my faves is No Doubt's cover of It's My Life by Talk Talk. Personally I think the song is much better suited to a female voice.

Pretty much any cover done by Garth
Cash doing "Hurt"
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts - "I love Rock and Roll"

"All Along the Watchtower" - The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Either this or Johnny Cash's rendition of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt". That one absolutely gives me goosebumps, and when you think of the circumstances surrounding it, it even hits you harder.

Garth? Pfft. Garth can go chase his royalties. That money grubber lost me as a fan when he tried to collect money from the used CD market decades ago. He's dead to me.:ROFLMAO:
