We have had a thread on this in the past, but I was debating a friend today over it while working. While he believes it’s waffle fries, he is incorrect, but it’s a good novelty and offers great dipping.

So other than waffle fries, what is the best French fry form?

Does beer battered count as a french fry form?

Wait.. So other than what are the best fries, what are the best fries?

I would have to go with a nice thin cut fry. Nothing to fancy.

Let’s be honest - they’re all just vehicles for the sauce.

thin, fresh, and salty for me.

Skin-on natural cut fries

Thin cut.

Shoe string.

I like a little meat on the bone, sort to speak. A good Nathan's fry works for me.

I like the thin cut fries that are a bit crispy. Thick cuts are never done right and becomes too mushy when you bite into it.

of course, seasoned well.

Crinkle /

I'd say fresh cut fries or curly.

Curly done over medium…don’t want any soggyness.

The cut they have at our clubhouse. It’s hands down the best fry ever! It has the cut like a MCDonalds fry but an even better taste and crunch. I wish I knew the secret sauce because I’ve never experienced anything like it.

Seasoned curly fries or natural cut, skin on fries.

Curly

McDonald’s style? Not sure what they are actually called, shoestring?

All of them.
