Same problem here. Check out Goorin Bros. hats on Zappos. The Slayer and Rouster styles are the best fitting hats that I've ever worn. They don't ride high on this large dome. They're not golf hats but I like to wear them for golf.

wonton: Best place to go for hats for big heads is Lamood Big Hats. I have several of their FLexfits ball caps and I wear a size 8 1/2. Even have a straw golf hat that I like but not sure if I want to wear straw while golfin' though.

I have a 7 5/8 too and the flex hats work for me. I've recently ditched those too for a visor and it's overall much more comfortable IMHO.
