Wanted to hear anyones reviews on Bridgestone irons they have hit. I hit some today. J36 Cavity irons. They look like blade irons from the topline but have a little cavity on them. I have an opportunity to get the 3I thru PW for 250 and they are brand new. They felt good and hit pure. Just want to hear some stories if someone ever has any of their irons.

The link below is a link to their photos

If you can, check out the J38 Dual Pocket Cavities. Very similar, just newer. Also: J40s oughta be coming out this year....

Personally I like the looks of them, I cant remember how they hit though, I cant remember ever really hearing any bad things about them either. 250 sounds like a good deal though.

Store around me stocks Bstone and their irons are beauties. I have hit J36s and for me they didn't work. They didn't quite fit my swing as they require a fair amount of precision, something I can lack at times. I would classify them as player's irons for sure and I could have handled the 6I on up, past that no way.

I bought a set of used J33 combo irons in mint condition a couple of months ago. I love them, a good replacement for my mizzy mp-57:s. Still have my Mizunos but haven't played them since I got my Bridgestones.
Haven't played any of the more recent models but if they're anything near the J33:s in feel, go for it. Make sure you get fitted for the right shafts for your game, otherwise the heads doesn't really matter that much.
You also need to be a decent ballstriker, at least with the ones I'm playing. Toeing your shot makes you loose a lot of distance.

My Uncle plays the J36 combo's and its by far the only main stay in his bag for the last few years. He seems to love them. I had a set of the J38s early this year but sold them after 3 months when I decided that the Project X shafts just weren't for me. If they had had X100s in them I'd probably still be playing them, it just wasn't worth the money to switch the shafts.

I've had the combos, and lived the CB and Blade irons.

Hated the PCs.

If I could have bought the CBs for that kind of $ I would have.

Review - ok I had 6-8 iron in the CBs and they were probably my favorite out of the set. For a blade like iron they are pretty easy to hit, but not very forgiving if that makes sense. They were quite long when hit flush, and felt superb when flushed.

Looks wise, well they're Japanese forged irons, and it doesn't get much better. A nice thinish top line and little to no offset. This makes them very easy to hit different types of shots - high, low, fades, draws etc. Some people don't care for the graphics in the cavity, but guess what? You don't see the cavity at address!!!! I thought they looked great and as u said I'd have changed the PCs out of the bag for the CBs in an instant.

Performance - well as I touched upon, relatively easy to hit for the type of club they are. In a normal shot they launch nicely - I had PX5.5s in my set - on some of the par 5s I could really launch the mid irons high and if there was a tail wind had no problems reaching shorter holes and also longer par 4s as well. They feel great as you would expect from a forged iron. Not as nice as z101s but probably nicer than he Pings I now use.

Overall a good set if clubs, and at $250 I'd say they're a bargain!

Well I bought them and put in S400 shafts with some new grips.. Overall the total cost for me for the 4-P and 3 Driving Iron was 215...

I dont like the shot of the top line on here because it doesnt give it justice. The top line is so thin at address they set up like blades. Also the club as a whole looks alot like the mid irons from the Nike VR Combos
