We just sent out a bunch of Bridgestone VS Prototype golf balls to forum members for testing. Once received, they will providing their reviews and feedback here. Since they are prototypes, we can't disclose much information about them, so be on the lookout for the tester feedback!

Looking forward to hearing more about these.

Cant wait to get these in hand. I have a round scheduled for Saturday at a course I play pretty frequently. I have some BXS in my bag so I will be able to do a pretty quick comparison.

Watching this one!

So excited to try out the VS Blue - ive never used a Bridgestone ball and will be trying this out next to a number of other premium (and not so premium) options!

I was a big fan of the Bridgestones i used last year, looking forward to putting these through the golf ball ringer!

Disappointed to have missed out on this one!

Eagerly anticipating feedback from you all!

I look forward to hearing about them. I hope the feedback is heavy on comparisons to other balls.

I've played Bridgestone BX in the past with great results. Not entirely sure why I stopped, tbh. Interested to hear everyone's thoughts.

Regardless of what the new ball is I think Bridgestone needs to switch to black packaging. Those boxes look sharp.

Bookmarking this thread as I'm very very curious about this test. I really enjoyed Tour BX and I'm extremely interested in this new prototype.

Can I get a reminder of all the guys playing vs black? Cuz I want to follow them in particular. I'm pretty sure @BigDill is one who are the others?

Excited to get these in hand. The VS Black is going to be fun I think! Will definitely do some comparison #s against my gamer Chrome Tour and some Chrome Tour TD. I have a round scheduled Friday morning. Hoping they make it by then.

Excited to see how these stack up to Z Star XV/TP5x and Chrome Tour X 👀👀

Ok let’s do a little intro to me for testing purposes.

Some of you all know me but here are some facts that will lead into testing purposes. I was selected to test the VS Black.

First, my HC is a 2.5 currently and I golf about once a week. I’ve trained over the past 2 and a half years to get more speed. I’m cruising in the high 150s BS to mid 160s BS with driver. With driver having something lower spinning ball wise important to me. Feel is also important to me through the bag, but mostly off woods and putter. My current gamer ball is the Callaway Chrome Tour. I’ve played the Tour BX in the past and liked it, just never switched. If you’re wondering what’s in my bag, look at my signature. It is up to date. I do have a Rapsodo MLM2 Pro and a PRGR that I plan to use in the testing both on course and in my garage sim setup. Just a little about me in the event you all do know me. Also to get to know me more you can see what I’ve been working towards here in my journey to scratch thread. This is just to learn more about me to get a basis of what kind of golfer I am and my game in relations to testing this ball.

Hope this gives a good intro into me and excited to test these!

Edit: want to add that spin around the greens is important. I don’t want a ton of rollout.

What type of feel is important to you? Softer feel? Firm? Clicky? Mushy? Let's explore this a little more

Can’t wait to get the VS Blue in hand for some testing and feedback.

I currently play Chrome Tour or Chrome Tour TD (windy days) so this is what the main comparison will be. I have some Pro V1 and V1x that I can take into the sim and compare numbers as well.

If you have any specific questions or scenarios you’d like to know about, tag me and I’ll definitely get you some answers.

I’ll be watching this thread. The I’m happy with the Maxfli balls I’ve been playing but the tour bx impressed me a ton when I was doing on course testing. The VS Black is probably the only ball that will get a chance to knock the Maxfli out of the bag.

For sure. I don’t want overly firm but I don’t want mushy either. Somewhere in the middle. The Chrome Tour and ProV1 have been good feel wise for me if you’ve gamed either for reference. If the ball is too firm it just bothers me. I can handle it if it performs but it’s not a make or break something. Hope this helps.

Yep I totally get what your saying. PV1 feel is optimal to me. I've found that for my feels the TP5 is very close. Tour BX was just a bit firmer than those two. I'm very curious if the VS Black has the same feel or a little different than the old ball.

I think I remember it being a little on the firmer side but nothing off putting. Like the left dash V1x is just too firm.
