I agree. And I’m becoming a big fan of it so far - it def toes the line of a couple factors that work well for my game today. Excited to continue testing this one.A personal best while trying a new ball has to leave a great impression. Congrats!
Did the other ball that is not useable hit cartpath, trees, etc? Just wondering on durability.Full review coming later today, but I set a new personal best 78 with the VS Blue today. Lost one ball but still have one from first sleeve - still in great condition.

I wish I knew. It was a clean shank into the trees so no idea what happened to itDid the other ball that is not useable hit cartpath, trees, etc? Just wondering on durability.
I read what was written on the packaging. You better go find that ball before someone else does!I wish I knew. It was a clean shank into the trees so no idea what happened to it
But this ball lasted 8 holes and still looks pretty clean. Helps when you hit every fairway![]()

Sorry the way I initially read your post was that you lost one and only had 1 usable ball left from the sleeve.I wish I knew. It was a clean shank into the trees so no idea what happened to it

No worries - I prob was a bit confusing. I lost one last round as well (another shank) but still have this final ball from first sleeve. I’m pretty impressed with durability so far.Sorry the way I initially read your post was that you lost one and only had 1 usable ball left from the sleeve.
That is impressive seeing similar distances into a piercing wind. Kind of goes back the the aerodynamics of what I believe that dimple pattern is designed to do.Driver distance is not easy to gauge in wind, but I'm going to do my best. I know the spots I hit on this course very well.
First tee shot was with the wind and hit so damn well. Something about the first tee shot - it's always my best of the day lol. Maybe it's because I'm not thinking yet. Anyway, a mid-height push draw that hit the center of the fairway and rolled to about 25 yards past my normal tee shot here. For me, it was a bomb, and I certainly attribute both the wind and the shot shape as part of that.
I was really expecting to see a lot of hurt into the wind off the tee, but I just didn't. One tee shot was a piercing fade that was on the left side of the fairway almost exactly even with my average tee shot. Another was a bit higher fade that also hit the fairway, bounced a few times and settled in a typical spot for me. I was quite surprised to see that I hit normal numbers with a fade shape into the wind. Very promising.
Full irons/hybrids/wedges seemed about in line with what I'd expect. My first couple approaches pretty much hit my number on the spot with a PW and 8 iron. One 5h into the wind actually got where I was hoping it would, even with a high ball flight produced by an uphill lie. I was half expecting to miss short on this blind shot and was pleased to see I hit the center of the green.
Thanks for sharing @jdtox - given the slight decrease in spin, the carry / total numbers make sense. Curious if you see any less stopping power with the VS Black. Here is some data from testing yesterday. I compared Chrome Tour, ProV1x and the VS Black. I hit 5 shots with each ball and removed the worst one for comparison purposes. Pretty interesting stuff.
These shots are all with a King Tec 7i.View attachment 9388435
Dang. Did not see it being the lowest spinning of the 3, but that looks like it will be a good fit for me. Excited to get to the course on Friday. Here is some data from testing yesterday. I think crispy is a really good word. Very similar to how I'd explain the VS Black feel and the Chrome Tour TD in putting specificially.Just finished rolling some putts prior to my round.
The VS Black felt great rolling the ball. A bit more firm than the Chrome Tour, which is to be expected.
The VS Black felt like an improvement over the Tour BX. The Tour BX feels much more “muted” when putting, especially on longer putts. The VS Black had a crisper feel, while not feeling overly firm.
The VS Black is certainly on the firmer side of balls, but felt “crispy” when putting, if that makes sense. I felt the feedback and much preferred it over the Tour BX.
Different balls, but I'm finding the Blue VS to fall between a couple favorites - a bit more firm than ProV1, but less so than ProV1x. Same with spin I'm seeing on chip shots - great stuff so far.Just finished rolling some putts prior to my round.

I was a but surprised by that after looking at it. I wasn't paying much attention during testing. I have similar data for partial wedges and driver too which I am going to try to get shortly.Dang. Driver and wedges were what I was about to ask if you had data or would have data. One thing too that people should keep in mind is numbers might or will be different for certain swings. But seeing spin reduction as you get into the mid irons I like it.I was a but surprised by that after looking at it. I wasn't paying much attention during testing. Here are partial wedge swings in same order Chrome Tour, ProV1x followed by Bridgestone VS BlackDriver and wedges were what I was about to ask if you had data or would have data.
