NEWS Brooks Koepka Back on PGA Tour?

How did koepka get away? Wouldn't he have had another year on his contract?
Bryson's recent comments made it sound like he is not fully contractually committed.

Brooks was contracted through 2025 and was in the process of negotiating 2026 and beyond from what I read.

Interesting comments from Tiger about Brooks returning. Mentioned the PGAT had players involved in the discussions and they were working on this since before Christmas.

I enjoy LIV. More interested in watching LIV than PGAT generally but depends on the leaders and watch times. But the key is to pick a team to root for.

Majors will always be better though. Not even close.

I understand that the music is not for everyone. Don’t really understand the hate for the shotgun start.

But really I know the golfers on LIV better, even the lesser known bc of the team aspect.

That has been my stance since day one. LIV is a disruptor and came at a time when golf needed it. I know it's not for everyone and can come across as 'Gimmicky' but to each his own.

The majors always will reign supreme as they should. I watched less and less pro golf and LIV changed that little with the different delivery.

Some interesting arguments here. My favorite is :Golfers are independently wealthy so those who chose LIV for the money are morally wrong because of the source of the money. I got news for Chamblee: most professional golfers are motivated by money and their favorite kind is simply more. See Brandel even your holier than thou, knights in shining armor and paragons of moral virtue PGA tour members are just as motivated by acquiring more money. They are all greedy and professional golf as we know is rife with greed regardless of the source of the money.

Put the golfers aside, the whole "source of the money" thing is a glass house. Look up what the saudis have invested in and where the money is going and you better turn into a hobbit and live in a mud hut because their money is in everything and most don't realize it.

Going to a business they own stock in is quite different than supporting their wholly owned professional golf tour for many. Maybe it’s splitting hairs, but seems valid enough.

It's definitely splitting hairs and choosing a narrative that best fits his argument. I never understood the "Saudi Blood Money" stance, but to each their own.

I mean they holed up a bunch of their royals in a hotel and then tortured them and gave them an option of exile and we keep everything you own and possess or we kill you and your family (Saudi Purge). They used some of that money to buy a golf league toy among other things. It’s not that hard to make the link is it?

Consequently they’ve spent the last 6 years, mostly, squandering all that money on bad investments which is where we are today.

I like LIV in that I can root for the guys I like and if they are not playing well I can still root for the team. If the team is out then I can watch something else.

But the tournaments are meaningless. Nobody cares LOL. People care about the majors. I can see going in person to a LIV event just because I like to see pros hit the golf ball. I would never watch it on tv though LOL

This is a common take I see in other social media platform posts and I’m just really curious about it.

Do people care about PGA Tour tournaments? Or do golf fans in general not care at all about any tournaments other than the majors?

There are about a dozen regular PGA events that get more buzz than the PGA Championship does

you’ll see a common theme from some posters that hate this other league for whatever reason they choose, yet spend more time talking about this other league than anything else in their entire life
