NEWS Brooks Koepka Back on PGA Tour?

Maybe Horschel thought he'd have lost his card by now.

It seems fitting that since Brooks is teeing it up this week, we give away 6 sets of Srixon clubs

so you're the reason he's back on Tour. :ROFLMAO:

Nah, I would be the reason none of this mess ever took place

I'm baffled by ESPN bumping their other programming for Thursday and Friday to air PGA coverage this week. Does Brooks really move the needle that much?

He was paid $120 million to move the needle just 4 years ago. He has some cache' at least.

Interview today was interesting. But only one question really mattered. Lol

Looking at recent form... maybe he should tinker.

Maybe he is really good again? He did say he loved the grind. Although a few years ago he said he hated golf or something like that.

I listened to his whole interview. It is a very different Brooks. Sounds like he has had some serious family issues. No idea what but sounded heavy..

At the end of last year, Jena announced they had a miscarriage. So, yes, very heavy and sad. Not sure if there's been more than that.

Did not know that.

That miscarriage shook him (and rightfully so). I can’t imagine going through that and it seems it made him see things from a different lens. The international schedule LIv required all of sudden wasn’t attractive, I hope he finds the balance because that’s one heck of a tragedy to try and bounce back from

PGA caved, they made their choices so they should live with them.

They did cave. They also set the path for the return.

The goal is putting the best fields in golf together for the best tournaments, as frequent as possible.

There was no way to move towards this without accepting some risk. I do think the penalty is too light, as it opens the door for other names to leave. But its the fastest way to get back to what we all want

I was looking around this morning and came across this about Brooks. I think it sums up pretty well his move and while we all want some crazy underlying story, sometimes it's as a simple as "life changes, we grow up and priorities shift"

Brooks in 2022, when he chose to sign with LIV, was newly married and "time with family" meant Brooks and Jenna. A lighter playing schedule and travelling around the world, with three days of golf here and there, sounds like a dream come true.

Brooks in 2026, when he chose to part ways with LIV, was now a Dad to 2 year old, Crew. Two-year-olds need routine and not the routine that includes plenty of international travel. "More family time" now means not being away from family while playing overseas and being more available at home. The added trauma of Jenna's miscarriage last year, magnifies this.

LIV was the best thing for Brooks and his family in 2022. The PGA Tour is now the best thing for Brooks and his family in 2026. It's no more complicated than that...

The PGAT isn't even trying to hide the hypocrisy anymore. Of the $5 million fine Brooks will pay, $1 million goes to the Nicklaus Foundation and $2.5 Million goes to....wait for it.... "Equally distributed to approved beneficiaries selected by eligible PGA Tour members (read players), such as their foundations, or other charities they support"

So 70% is the fine goes to Jack Nicklaus and other PGAT members. You can't make this up.

I think you are trying a little too hard here..

Is the PGAT still a not for profit?

I am pretty reasonable I think over all but complaining about this feels like a big reach.
For me it's not a complaint. It's just shining a light on how they stand on a high horse of integrity and protecting the game. Then they turn around and take 70% of this fine and give it to Jack Nicklaus and PGAT Members seems really disingenuous to me.

I would like them to take the full $5 million and give it to St. Jude or another charity not tied to the tour or their players.
