NEWS Brooks Koepka Back on PGA Tour?

Word salad from Brandel, this dude is a joke

An exception to the Rule. Just because one top am chooses the chucky cheese league doesn’t change the fact that 90% of them join the pipeline to the PGA
Really? Do you think that using the term "Chucky Cheese" helps your point?

This season only has 4 US LIV events, Brooks didn't like that LIV was more focused on international growth, probably.
Most likely, but I think his wife having a miscarriage on October and their young son's past health issues, his son Crew was born prematurely in July 2023 with major health issues had a major bearing on him wanting to stay close hence leaving LIV.

The flaw in your arguement is that it is not one top amateur. Three years in a row now, top talent has chosen LIV over the PGAT.
I agree with him. Sure everyone wants to be rich and famous but golfers dream of Green jackets and claret jugs, just like baseball players grow up dreaming of playing in Wrigley&Fenway. Not playing in LIV golf Mayakoba or playing for the Hanoi Hamsters respectfully.

We are moving the goalposts on what I initially stated into a different discussion. 1 amateur or 20 doesn’t matter for the sake of the discussion. Do you think they chose LIV because they dreamed of playing on that Tour or did they chose it strictly due to the financial benefits and all things being equal(hypothetical earnings)would they chose LIV over the PGA?

Also not completely accurate.
They literally just had their version of Q-School
True. But the difference is LIV can invite TM or anyone else to join without going to Q school whereas the PGA TOUR doesn't do that. You have to qualify somehow, whether that is being #1 in the NCAA ranking etc. I could be wrong but I don't think the PGA Tour can hand out fully exempt status to whoever they want while LIV can.

I'[m here just to get us to 12 million posts.

Not real worried about the specifics. I just want the best players back on the PGA Tour.

Hope this starts a trend.

That's a 10-4. Some seem to forget that.

in 2025 176 players just competed in Q-School ( Sept to mid-Dec)
in 2026 156 will compete in Q-school in March.

Not moving goal posts, I am merely clarifying the flaw in your statement. It's impossible to say a kid dreamed of playing for LIV because they have not been around as long as the PGAT has.

That being said, both the PGAT and LIV have an attraction to pro golf talent because of the potential $$ they can earn. A young pro golfer doesn't need any of them to be major champions and achieve their "dreams", but it's short sided to say LIV has no attraction globally for players.

They all chase the $$ and LIV is just another option that the top young players in the world have chosen over the PGAT

I'm guessing one of the reasons is that if you are extended an invite to join LIV you don't have to qualify. Harder to get fully exempt for the PGA TOUR
Talent has its privileges, lol

Left the tour to spend more time with family returns to the tour to spend more time with family. Lolol..

One of the reasons players joined LIV originally because they wanted to travel less. Meanwhile LIV Schedule is all corners of the world.

The PGA Tour administration is a joke with his Jupiter’s boys club advisory council. They have absolutely no vision, they only act for a specific group of players. They don’t give a damn of ranked 30/100 players. II is one more proof after the « chosen few » tournaments.

The fine is a deductible donation. The number looks good but Koepka made a ton more on LIV.
Sorry to say that but a golfer is a golfer not a businessman with a clear vision. (Tiger that I loved as a player might be the worst).

I’m not trying to help or hurt it either way. My opinion on LIV is pretty obvious. I find it a silly, lack luster product. Do I blame the guys who got paid massive bags to go? No, if someone offered me John Rahm type money to do almost anything I’d consider it. 😂

We cant have it both ways.
When players said that, LDSers scream they were lying.
Now the schedule changes and all of the sudden they are lying.

I swear this is the most confusing thing there is.
Just like "nobody on LIV matters", yet a player coming back, all of the sudden is a huge deal.

I'd love to see an interview with he and Brooks in like 6 months!

Just like the LIV fans saying doesnt matter he is leaving.. But it was a huge get when he signed. Its both sides man. Its all the same.

LIV, PGA TOUR, DP World Tour-you name it-only a small percentage probably really matter.

This post is accurate lol

Bryson now has a ton of leverage. He seems to enjoy the team aspect of LIV, but I am pretty sure he doesn't want to be on a sinking ship as well if others leave. I would have to think LIV is going to have to offer him the biggest contact they have ever given out to keep him. His YouTube channel is a big deal to him. He loves to create content. Going to be very interesting to see what happens.

Anyone know what the penalty is if a player leaves LIV before fulfilling their contract? This is going to be an issue with Rahm I think.

Now, I really want to see LIV and PGA to merge just to see how Brandel reacts to it. :ROFLMAO:

It was a huge get.
anybody that thought otherwise was incomplete denial.

Just like him going back to the PGA TOUR is a huge get.

This whole thing has gotten worse than politics with the silliness and corner standing.

In name recognition absolutely.
