Schy sounds like a bitter scorned ex-girlfriend.

Personal attacks on social media are a sure fire way to get nothing accomplished. Doubt he will have many lining up to aide his endeavors in the future.

Ya this sounds like sour grapes to me....

Never thought I would be defending Bryson :ROFLMAO:

Man, that was a very interesting read @JB. Lots of back and forth with both sides.

Pretty rough honestly for both parties especially Bryson and the kids….

Read that whole thing.

Yikes.

To me, they both sound like crazy ex lovers to an extent.

But yowza.

This is a pretty interesting article. I do find it hard to believe Bryson would want to profit off of something so little. It doesn’t seem like there was much upside for him, not that he cared.

Seems like one side is “me me me” and the other is “hey let’s take our time and get this right”

There is a metric :poop: ton to unpack here.. I dont even really know where to begin..

Sad is what it is really.

Schy certainly comes off as very entitled in the article, but at least he rescued his dogs from China and Turkey.

Also, I hate the stigma that just because someone has a lot of money, that they shouldn't care about XXXX amount of dollars since it's only like "$10 dollars to them". Entitlement at its finest.

I’m assuming that a “non-recourse” loan is essentially a loan that the lender cannot send to collections in the event of non-payment?

Yeah, no one is coming off well in this story, which seems about right.

He's not so schy, is he?

Team Bryson on that gossip-filled article.

Whole lot to unpack there and like a lot in here, feels quite a bit like scorned ex-lovers.

Read the majority of it, and honestly started bugging out closer to the end.

What a weird story. On one hand it sounds like he should be owed the money because Bryson won the US Open, the next second Bryson reneged on promises about the tour, then it is about promising to pay every year for the rest of Schy's life.

Holy crap there is a lot of "you promised this, didn't do that".

Why not just be on Bryson for the money after he went to LIV? Yeah the US Open is a boost, but should be a drop in the bucket compared to the LIV money. Someone wanted to be in the news to get credit for Bryson winning, didn't get a shout out (when he kind of isn't owed one). But someone think of the children!!!!

Good Lord that’s a debacle.

Makes you wonder just how much other tour players get hit up on the regular just the same by various acquaintances etc

This was my take as well.

Sucks for the Junior Golfers in California.

Yeah i'm not a fan of the whole he made X so it's not that much for him either

That being said there's a lot going on here, truth probably somewhere in the middle as it often is

From reading the article I’m on Bryson’s side here. Sounds as if Schy got butt hurt for being left out. Maybe things would have been different if there had been real plans and goals for the tour.

This was my take as well.
I doubt Bryson was perfect throughout it but I I don’t fault him for taking his time to get it right. The other dude has tournaments planned without any funding

I didn't read the whole thing because it kind of rambled.

Guy looking for money thinks that the rich guy has plenty and should give him some. The rich guy wants to put parameters in place to ensure that eventually it can be self sufficient. Guy looking for money is annoyed, rich guy says it's enough. Tale as old as time really.

ew.

It reads like a nasty divorce. The extortion angle coupled with the alleged promises to pay or loan money adds more fuel to the fire. But rather than in a court of law this one is playing out in the court of social media and the golf media.
