Bryson DeChambeau Thread

Sounds like a
I'm not saying this non profit was like that, but if the shoe fits..... I dont blame Bryson for pulling out.

Some believe “non-profit” means everyone works for free.

Hardly the case.

PGAT is a non-profit, so maybe he hates some non-profits.

Yeah I recall reading that there was a Bryson DeChambeau Foundation. Not sure if it is still around or not.

Yea like the non-profit hospitals that pay their board members millions in bonuses while the ER cant give their nursing staff a raise.

Come on dude I know the employees dont work for free, but you are dead wrong if you think there isn't any BS non profits just operating as a scam and taking money. Bryson just may have come across one and doesn't want to waste his money.

Sounds like Mike Schy got butt hurt that Bryson didnt thank him after his US Open win and is on a vengeance tour.

Has Bryson always treated Mike the best? I highly doubt it, in the same way he through Cobra under the bus. However it seems Mike has some issues of his own he is pinning on Bryson.

Definitely feels like a shakedown by this Schy guy.

The money needed to run this is nothing more than some interest on an account. I mean, Bryson could literally park enough money in an account trust, and fund this without losing a cent. As a matter of fact, he could make out in tax liability. So, you need to ask why? The why is likely cause this Schy guy is probably a shyster.

Here is the more to the story.

I think that is exactly it. That was a long read, but it feels like an ex girlfriend/boyfriend that got mad after Bryson moved on. An agreement to pay him 60k a year for the rest of his life.... For what? Also if thats not in some kind of written agreement it doesn't mean anything. Kinda like not having a freakin business plan for your non profit. How can you expect your one doner to give you money if there is no business plan? Thats wild to me.

I dont know if Bryson treated his dad like crap but who the heck is Mike Schy to put that out there, not his place in my opinion.

I think Brysons lawyers wised up and let Bryson know this guy is crooked and you should be very careful with business deals with this guy.

After reading that I do think both of them are not telling the full story. Bryson doesn't seem to want to address it, and I dont blame him. This guy keeps going much longer Bryson may have lawyers pursuing a defamation of character case.

Money really changes people. especially the people around the person that made a bunch of money. Seems like Brooks Koepka might be making the smart play and staying at home with his wife and new kiddo.

Bryson might need himself a good woman in his life.

Wow. Gotta be more to this story.

I read an article about it in one of the online golf mags last night (Golfweek). The article was semi-subtly slanted against Bryson, but the whole thing sounds like Schy is butthurt that he's not getting his piece of the pie, and is now going to try to smear Bryson over it. He allegedly demanded that Bryson pay him $60,000 a year for the rest of his life for doing nothing (he's not Bryson's coach anymore), and according to the article he tried to shake him down for $2M before going public with his "revelations". Unsurprisingly, Bryson's side of the story is substantially different. It sure looks like there's a lot of backstory, and Schy's side seems to be lacking some pretty relevant context. It smells like a desperate golddigger to me.

It irks me that the media can be weaponized in attempt to extort money. I am hopeful that the majority of folks see this for what it is. Bryson is on a different (and more positive) trajectory in his life and this jerkoff is taking shots at him.

^^ Truth ^^

Family relationships can be complicated and it is definitely no one's business to judge.

Here’s the link to the thread going on where you can read the article etc…

Might be a little something to the fact that people didnt really like Bryson when this guy was actively coaching him. Now that he is not apart of the team, people seem to like Bryson more.

Where there is smoke there is fire.

Ok. Bryson's next breaking 50 video is with a former president. I will watch it but won't post it on this thread as some people can't leave politics at the door.

"...DeChambeau was quick to stress on social media that his link-up with the 78-year-old was by no means a political statement. Instead, for every stroke they score under par both he and Trump agreed to donate $10,000 to a charity which supports US veterans and active duty service members."

Imagine if they did break 50. All the guys (and Paige) Bryson had try to break 50 would look like fools. :ROFLMAO:

There is no way.....but I will watch. But to be fair I've watched most of them.

I am intrigued by this so I will watch as well. I almost did a red tee challenge when I was up in Central Oregon but could never get a tee time where it would work. I got paired up with 3 women but they told me to play ahead as they were all new.

Good for them, plenty of good ones out there to choose from as well.
