Let’s hear them or rankings. 2 to 5 courses. Stay at the resort.

So far from what I’ve played:

1. Kiawah Island
2. Big Cedar
3. Barton Creek
4. Wekopa

Need help for 2026.

Gamble Sands has always seemed like a fun trip.

Sand Valley…

I'm so golf illiterate I have to look up where every one of these is. 🤣

Pinehurst
Streamsong
Bandon Dunes

I looked at Cabot Citrus Farms, but the cottages are $3k/night for four beds.

Pinehurst (played)
Cabot Cape Breton/Citrus Farms
Streamsong

Plenty in the US I'd love to experience but I have my eye on this place as well, and I loved my time in Turkiye.

Pinehurst
Whistling Straits
Bandon Dunes
Pebble

Those would probably be my top four options.

Of ones I have played

Bandon Dunes
Prairie Club
Dismal River
Wekopa/Whirlwind - Kind of the same to me but I am a local
Black Butte Ranch - My inlaws have a place there and there are 2 courses. Not great courses but I make due when I am there. Lots of Air BnB there.

  1. Pinehurst
  2. Erin Hills
  3. Briggs Ranch
  4. True Blue/Caledonia
  5. Torrey Pines

Northern Michigan. Grand Traverse Resort has a couple of courses on site but TONS of other GREAT courses in the area too.

Mid Pines/Pine Needles/Southern Pines?

my list?
1. Bandon
2. Sand Valley
3. Pinehurst

I played Streamsong Red last year and have Bandon Dunes booked for next June. So I'd want to play the other Streamsong courses, Pinehurst, and Pebble Beach in the US. My ultimate bucket list is a St. Andrew's trip though.

The ones I want to play most:

Pebble (played PB and SG)
Kiawah
Big Cedar
Bandon
Whistling Straits
Pinehurst

Been to Pebble, Spyglass, and Olympic Club on one trip in 2009. Didn’t have to stay in the hotel. Played a couple rounds at Bandon. Awesome but I did a $60 AirBnB and was just passing through. Also two trips to the St. Andrews area. While it’s not a “resort”, the trust links are a little bit like that. I’m a links junkie so I’d do Scotland and if that couldn’t happen, Bandon. St. Andrews would probably cost less if done right.

Pebble.. I don’t really know any of the other ones that get mentioned in the US.

Doing a weekend and playing whatever the women just did at Augusta would be something (I think they play 3 days at different course, Augusta National the last day?).. I guess that’s not a publicly available option though

I’d join any trip back to the motherland but don’t really consider those bucket list courses (although the trip would be to do it with a group from across the pond)

I was very fortunate to play the Whistling Straights courses and it was awesome. Highly recommend…

Only the ones I've played:

1. Pinehurst
2. Sand Valley
3. Kiawah
4. Big Island (Mauna Kea and Mauna Lani)
5. Horseshoe Bay

Looking to add Cabot, NS soon. Would like to do Northern Michigan as well

Sand Valley looks incredible. And a state I’ve never played.
