Funny thing is our house cleaner is from Buffalo and said she got down here and the wings are better here than in Buffalo.Buffalo Fish Sandwich isn't even a thing in Buffalo.....this sounds like cultural culinary appropriation by southern states

Her words not mine. She said that they were surprised but that Pluckers down here was better.
Well yeah, the THPer way.havent had one..but will have to disagree...
I know, right? It’s literally the perfect blend of crunch and soft when done properly and handles the sauce better than chickenOK, so I didn't know what to expect, but made one..... and now I'm a believer. So good. Did not expect it would work so well.
absolutely! It's so trippy but I'm floored how good it is. Thank you for sharing this take. I would have never tried otherwise.I know, right? It’s literally the perfect blend of crunch and soft when done properly and handles the sauce better than chicken
I'm not a huge fish sandwich kind of guy and I like a buffalo chicken so I'm going to join the disagree group.
I think more than the disagreement between the two, it's the fact that fish is not even close to its best form when on a sandwich.
Is there proof it exists outside of this thread yet?Where is @That post
doesnt help that I really don't eat seafood at all.. lol ..but maybe somedayWell yeah, the THPer way.![]()
I will agree with this. Buffalo style is too overpowering of a flavor for the more delicate flavor of fish. Chicken can handle the stronger flavors like buffalo and Nashville hot, fish does not. Blackened/cajun style fish, you can still taste the fish. With buffalo, all you taste is buffalo.Buffalo style is for chicken.
Cajun style is for fish and chicken.
If all you can taste is buffalo when eating buffalo style, you’re not doing Buffalo correctly. Fish fry Buffalo style is delicious and you can still 100% taste the fish.I will agree with this. If given the choice I will always choose fish over chicken when it comes to sandwiches, but I want to taste the fish not hide it in a strong sauce.
