Bushnell Golf Introduces Wingman GPS Speaker

All-In-One Device Gives Golfers Access to Their Favorite Music, While Still Providing Them Audible Distance Information on the Course

(Overland Park, Kan.) – Bushnell Outdoor Products, makers of the #1 laser rangefinder on the PGA Tour, today unveiled a first-to-market product – the Wingman GPS Speaker. With a combination of GPS and Bluetooth technologies, the Wingman provides players audible front, center and back distances, all while listening to the music of their choice through mobile applications. The Wingman GPS Speaker continues Bushnell’s ongoing commitment of providing golfers with innovative products using advanced technologies.

“Golfers are always looking for a competitive edge, while still trying to have fun. We are excited to introduce a product that will allow them to enjoy themselves on the course, while providing them with the functions of a distance measuring device,” said William Flood, Bushnell Golf Product Manager. “With its ability to play music and provide the GPS data golfers rely on, the Wingman GPS Speaker is unlike any other product in the industry, and we are thrilled to add it to the Bushnell Golf family.”

How it works:
- Pair the Wingman with your music source and Bushnell Golf App
- Press remote button to get audible GPS distances from your Bushnell Golf App

The Wingman GPS Speaker will change the way players take on the course by bringing an entirely new atmosphere to the game. With premium sound quality paired with front, center, and back distances with customizable settings for game play, the Wingman is the perfect all-in-one accessory for the golf course. Additionally, the speaker comes standard with Bushnell’s Magnetic BITE technology. The BITE magnetic mount allows the speaker to be secured to any golf cart without the need for an aftermarket accessory.

Wingman GPS Speaker Features:
- Audible GPS distances and music through mobile applications
- Premium audio quality
- Front center and back distances – with customizable settings for your game play
- Integrated BITE magnetic cart mount
- Auto hole advance
- 10+ hour battery life
- Charge other devices from speaker

The Wingman GPS Speaker will be available at Bushnell retailers nationwide beginning in April. Retail price for the Wingman GPS Speaker is $149.99.

Not a bad price, pretty interesting release!

Well this is pretty interesting. I am a laser guy but I could really see this selling well.

This is interesting. I have something similar UE Boom I take to the course from time to time. Like the magnetic feature and front, middle, back. I wonder how the interaction will work and if there will be delays for info needed?

rather interesting. Would certainly be something that needs to be tested

Normally I would find something like this stupid but for some reason I am intrigued with something as simple as push button GPS distances. I hate accessing my phone to get them and I dont wear my Apple Watch when I golf.

Cool, music and GPS yardage. I could go for that.

this has some legs.....

Not a bad price for an all-in-one quality speaker and GPS unit. Looking forward to reading some reviews on it before I think about grabbing one.

Huh. Not my thing but interesting

What are the chances two products by manufacturers on opposite ends of the golf spectrum, release products in 2020 that are named “wingman” and feature black and orange colors? Apparently, pretty good!

That's not a bad price. I could see myself using this, especially during scrambles.:egyptian::egyptian:

This is a pretty cool device!

OK, that is really cool!

Hmmm...interesting.

I’m torn.

Oh, and another wingman name :p

I would want to see the interface when selecting the course and holes once on the course, but is promising for sure.

That was my thought, as a nice, hey I need a new speaker, and I get a GPS along with it, or I need a new GPS and hey I get a new speaker with it, it's a nice combo.

Yeah, the naming was one of the first things to stick out to me as well.

I saw this on instagram post from PGAShow.... That thing is awesome! Maybe next year they add a Phantom type module to the top of it.

Very cool device. I could certainly see this being used a lot on the courses here. Quite a few guys have their speakers already going any how.

Nice looking unit. Not sure I would use it as I already use a Garmin G80 and a rangefinder. Awesome idea.

Received the email for preorder.

I want to try it, however I have a watch and a speaker and both are working fine (also looking at preordering a range finder)

Anyone pre order this?
