It hasn't aged well.
Probably too before my time for me to have too much of a take.
I've seen it a bunch, it doesn't hold up as well as comedies like "the Naked gun" to me. But i understand it was beloved then

It aged fine, comedy can still be good. It wasn’t funny then either

I don't have strong takes on Caddyshack. It's got some ok stuff. I never thought it was bad but it wasn't peak comedy to me either.

I don’t mind it, though there are other golf movies that are better.
Like blazing saddles, until one realizes what the story is satire of (mostly).
It's terrible. Chaotic junk like most 80s movies

How dare you
This take is too hot... Caddyshack is great and is top tier 80s comedy. The characters and quotability of this movie are enough to keep it from being "bad"
It doesn't have to be good to be a classic.

Never watched it, but I’ll assume it’s to golf what Slap Shot is to hockey.
It has some funny lines, but it's not what I'd consider a "good" movie.
