Callaway Apex Ai150 Irons

I did lot's of testing yesterday with these three models:

Ai 150

T150

King Tour's

Honestly came in thinking I was going to like the T150 or KingTour the most! The T150's were okay, didn't love the look of them for some reason. King Tours looked better but didn't feel that great to me! Felt like a non forged iron and dead to me!

The AI 150's just handled everything so well! Even on miss hits i wasn't losing too much on distance and dispersion. The feel off the face and the look at address was the best for me. They also came out in a better launch window for me!

The real "a-ha" moment was when they set the AI150's to 1* flat, ball speed jumped up from 127-129 to 132-133 instantly and was much easier to find the center of the face

If it was me I’d be going bronze.

I am so excited! It was a lot of good conversation's between hard stepping the 120's and the 130's straight in. Can't wait to get these in hand all built up and post the results for you all

Now i am torn:ROFLMAO: probably will just keep them the same. Maybe they will offer different colors as post buy options later on

I know a few people have asked (including myself) and they do not currently plan to offer them as a separate purchase option as they don't know how many to have on hand and don't want to sit on excess stock. But never say never!

Let me see if I can help considering Callaway as of right now isn't producing badges as a stand alone purchase...

I’ve had all 5 in hand. The blue is fun, but the silver is my absolute favorite. The more i see it the more i am glad it’s the direction i went.

So something I have to work really hard on, and have been for a while now, is delivering the club with less loft. I am a serial flipper. I’ve been working on drills and it feels like it started to click tonight. I have been launching the Ai150 7i anywhere between 22-24° which absolutely saps distance. Small sample size, but was seeing 16-19° of launch consistently tonight after drills.

If I can get this ingrained and then get my speed up to my usual range with a better move to the ball, I’m going to be seeing some solid distance out of these irons.

The work continues, but this is promising.

The more I see pics of the silver, the more I want it! I can imagine in hand these look absolutely stunning!

Could not have said it any better myself!

That was the main selling point to me when finalizing what irons I wanted this year is how much "help" they have in such a good looking design
 
For those of you that have sets through the AW, why did you chose the set AW over a specialty wedge?

Can't seem to decide between ai150 aw or opus SP 50°
