Callaway Apex Ti Fusion Plated and Apex Ti Fusion 250 Irons

Feel off club face today was soft. Suprisingly soft for the hollow type iron with a titanium face. Not a turn off at all.

Flight off tee was great. Numbers were excellent. Off the deck was an issue throughout the bag as the monitor had some calibration work done earlier this week. It is an over head monitor so I can't really give any partial shot numbers from the 8-AW as I had planned.

I have been coming up short way too much, so I’m going to working on making sure that I know my limits and pull the longer club if I am in between.

In early morning cold conditions, just take the extra club and make sure I get on the green. Like this, 9 iron v. PW decision.

My 250 7i arrived. Same specs as my original TiF. Barely bigger or more offset, really. Doubt I will notice or care if not side by side.

One more week until I can start swinging again.

I keep telling myself that I am going to play in the rain in the morning. I want to see how these handle the wet

Took about 5 good swings outside today and ball striking seems to be correcting itself with sequencing. Can't wait to get these on course again with a decent swing. They have bailed me out with bad swings so far

Hitting the 250s flush is addicting. Effortless and the sound is so good.

Another fun sim session with the TiF250. Focused on AW, 9i, 7i today. The things that I am most pleased with are:
- height/descent - I don't hit the ball high. These help me hit it a bit higher. No balloons, but a more playable improved height/flight.
- forgiveness - hello low and toe... distance retention is very forgiving here
- feel - I wanted to list this first, but since it's subjective, left it for last. But it's soooo goooood.

I did a bag mapping session the other day and the gapping on the TiF250's are right getting close to where i need them to be. The forgiveness on off-centered strikes gives plenty of distance.

It’s funny that they help you hit it high but the combination with the new chrome tour is keeping my entire bag from 5-AW between 90-95 feet on full swings.

I'll never be accused of hitting it high... Just higher, here, which is needed. 👊

I'm average under 90 feet on all my irons.

I was hitting my previous set about 110 feet. The problem was the high spinny disaster that would go 130 feet and then fall straight down.

Hit some chip shots indoors today. Its 35 degrees and rain out right now so I ain't gonna do anything till Friday at the simulator. I am convinced these irons will make my approach play better. So sure of it, that if this level of forgiveness doesn't help that I can't be helped.

Approach play is my biggest weakness. If the Ti Fusion 250 can’t help I need to just suffer with blades. I’m actually going to put my money behind the statement.

Shot Scope will be the judge of improvement. Callaway MBs as punishment if these irons don’t make me better.

Not to be forgotten with all the driver hype: these irons are fast and forgiving!

A little comparison with the Quantum Max irons today. The Ti Fusion 250 is a little more compact. The top may be a little thinner but it’s not crazy.

Party trick time: If you are looking for an easier launch mid to long iron that may be easier for you launch off the deck than a utility, consider this 5 iron. It is 23 degrees and when going after this iron the flight is higher than the 20 degree UT (its 3 degrees weaker) but the land angle is in the upper 40 degree range. I can see how this could be an option and make a UT a little less needed.
