The CT series was really surprising with the performance and durability. I can't remember a ball recently that had a cover deformed to the point where I thought I couldn't play it. I know with previous versions of the PV I had concerns about the cover after an errant drive and a punchy recovery, or the cart path multiplier that scrapped a ball.
I have like 15 Chrome Tour's on my desk now, all used 1-2 rounds. Some of them are a bit beat up but if i hit like 7 full wedges in a round this is unavoidable.
But i'd say it's the most durable high end ball i've used in years. And a massive upgrade from previous Gen CS. As mentioned the cover tore off that ball if you sneezed on it.
But otherwise i've loved the performance for years. I hadn't really thought much of it until you asked, but i've probably used Callaways for 85% of my rounds the last 7 years or so
