Callaway Elyte Drivers – Elyte, Elyte X, Elyte Max Fast and Elyte Triple Diamond

Post a follow up after your round tomorrow.

I hit the core head with the Linq purple last week and had decent results. Enough to maybe try again soon.

Disgustingly forgiving head without giving up distance. I've put back in a trusty shaft that isn't near as timing based as the thp proto or the shaft I was fitted for at ECPC. Can just go full send and not worry too much. Missed one drive pretty bad but everything else was just piped and not all of it was center face.

Dang it, now going to have to take the Linq purple to the garage as well.

I just received my core model had. Well actually the golf store called me to say it is in I will go pick it up tomorrow. I ordered it with the one k black shaft as well. I did very well with it online tomorrow but I just have some fear that it may end up being too low launching when I get into real life.

Curious to know your swing speed and launch parameters to know whether or not I made the right decision with her car to the shaft. I'm sure I could trade it back for the carbon Denali model but that is a 58 g shaft that is significantly softer.
For reference my average swing speed is around $00 and when I go after it I can get up to 105
Soitenly! So I'm around 105. I think my high at the sim last week was 111 and my low was like 90 something. 2400 spin and launch of around 12 average. I get a mid height ball flight unless I really tee it up. Are you 1k in the S or X? I think with my current speed the X would be too much, but the S fits well.

I have a fairly easy takeaway and transition these days with my hips and downswing doing most of the work.

I'm having so much more success with a slight OTT open face cut than I am trying to come from in the inside and drawing the wall. I know it's the go to shape for better players and I almost wonder if Callaway considered that when designing the TD

Played about 4 full rounds with the Elyte Core model - played with both the stock Denali shaft and my LinQ Blue 6TX and I'm absolutely loving this driver. It's a forgiveness machine.

Been seeing a bit more consistency out of the Denali if I'm being honest - at least as far as finding fairways, but it is launching way too high. Attributing more of that to my early season swing than anything else. Hoping to find some range time to iron some things out.

Like I said in my Grandaddy product entry, my Elyte core driver is my hero. It helped me get my first eagle today on a par 4 from the men’s tees.

This Elyte driver has been cooking since putting the Linq back in. No timing to worry about, 😆, just swing hard and be rewarded.

That would make a lot of sense

Today was another solid day for the TD head and my game. Solid distance even in some funky winds that messed with me all day long. Probably a little more left to right shot shape today than what I’d been seeing in the past, but could be the pace of play coming in and preventing me from really getting in a groove.

Have been using the tip from JB and teeing it up a little higher than I’m used to, and candidly comfortable with but it’s working and working well. Rounds coming up this week on Tuesday/Friday and Saturday and looking forward to getting back out on the course with the TD.

Played the core version today. My first time out on a course with it and I have no complaints. I missed two fairways all day and one was just out with the 3HL. Very good driving day for me but I usually do have one or two not in the fairway during a round;

I played a pretty tough course with some off/on breeze. Temps were mid 50's.

Got it in stiff.
My average speed is 100 give or take 1-2 mph.
Hoping for similar numbers.

With my smoke Max Denali black was seeing higher launch over 14 but still spin in 2200-2400 window. However they didn't have that shaft for me to demo. And truthfully I didn't really love it so much. Hoping the 1K will give me similar performance and not be harder to swing as I do not have an aggressive transition.

Denali 50 stiff?
If I may ask what swing speed are you and what numbers did you see?
I demoed the 1k black and Denali charcoal 50.
Hit both well in simulator but went 1k as it seemed hook proof without losing distance.
I am worried maybe it is too stout but haven't hit it.

Alright.... promising day today. It was a scramble, so the stakes were incredibly low, but I had a lesson two weeks ago and my new coach told me to set up a bit more upright and square and to start with the shoulders first in order to quiet the lower body. I had a really nice day with the driver today. Hoping I can keep that momentum up going into this weekend's round, but was a very exciting day for me.

3/6 FIR tonight and the first three were just awful haha but the last three were absolutely mashed. I need to get comfortable with hitting my target and not compensating for a ton of curve in the ball flight because there just isn’t much

Shutout to @Golfgirlguru yesterday. Went par, eagle (her first hole out!!), birdie, birdie before throwing out her back on the 5th hole. I was playing terribly at first while she was on fire but she played 6 and 7 and had to stop. Think it was a hard OTT pull on the 5th tee that did it. I felt horrible for her. It was probably the best start she's had and couldn't keep playing.

She was hitting rocket mid height drives that were perfect foe the narrow fairways at our course. Launch was probably lower maybe in the 9 or 10 range but these were straight heat seeking missles.

First eagle and hole out! Felt just as exciting as when I got my hole-in-one a few years ago! I absolutely love the Elyte line. Forever a Callaway girl!

It’s a pretty good feeling to be able to walk up to a tee box and know that when you start your swing the ball is going to end up in play. That’s what I feel every time I step up to the tee box with the TD in hand. Only pulled it 4 times tonight and hit all 4 fairways and saw some solid distances off the tee.

This one right here was hit so low on the face I was worried I had driven it straight into the ground. Look up and the ball is rocketing towards the fairway (please ignore the horrid putting on the green there…)

Like I said- something to be said for confidence in your tee game.

Agree. Played 12 holes after work tonight. Played a course that I hadn’t played this year or since Grandaddy but used to be my primary course. I was 20-30 last my usual spots. Was not necessarily in fairway on every hole but was just in first cut.

I had one shot on a 345 yard hole where I just it straight out of toe and it should have been a 175 yard hook. Was about 120 out.

Im upper 80's ss (might touch 90 on a good day). I typically fit into the "core" model of whatever current driver is out for Callaway. Surprisingly last year I ended up with the max D. It was just as long and a tad more forgiving for me. Typically the draw or "max forgiveness" models tend to spin for me and are shorter. I was curious what everyones experience is this year on core vs X models. Distance and spin wise for a 90ish ss person.

I am typically someone that needs spin and loft to help get ball up and keep it there. Typically end up in X/Max drivers. Normally, the D don't work because my miss is a hook. When I was fit into this I was fit into Core. So I think it really is each individual can be fit into either.

I have a few rounds with ShotScope data, using the Core model. Distance is very good. 267 p average, with conditions not exactly firm and fast.

Dispersion needs some work - pretty even split across left/center/right. I was kind of hoping for a more distinct pattern one way or the other, so that I could better focus what I need to work on, but at least it’s showing me there is no underlying club direction bias.

Feel is satisfying. Height is better than I am accustomed to.

I mean I can’t complain. My driver has been the best club in the bag and we haven’t played one day yet in 70 degree weather. Just soggy wet conditions so far.

Also fighting a stuck flip hook at the moment. So not even the driver can save me. But the distance averages are still good excited to see more this summer.
