Callaway Elyte Fairway Woods

I hit the Elyte TD 3w so comically low on the face today I thought I topped it. I don't think the ball got more than 20 feet into the air, but it rolled out to about 275. That was absolutely wild to see.

This club time and time again continues to really shine through

Tungsten Speed Wave at work

It comes off with a nice 'thwack' off the face low.

Reminds of my AI Smoke Irons actually sound wise

9 Wood Players - Elyte or Elyte Max Fast: Have you noticed much of a difference with the absence of the Tungsten Speed Wave compared to the 3, 5, and 7 Woods?

Haven't noticed a difference. 9 wood is easy to get up in the air so I think the lack of having it isn't a big deal versus my Heavenwood.

I didn't get along with the Max Fast when I got fit. But I didn't hit the 9 wood in my fitting for either. We fit woods off of the 3 wood and 3hl and I think maybe a 5w or a 7 wood but I am not sure either of those were even available. I also wanted a Heavenwood so that limited me to the core.

Took the little man with me to the range tonight. Got my tempo down some with the 3&5Ws. very impressed still by the sound and feel of these clubs.

Holy smokes that is awesome! The Tungsten speed wave packs a punch for sure.

After following this thread and reading all the positive , really positive comments i picked up an Elyte X 3 wood with the Denali 70G 6.0 shaft. Played it today and It is everything everyone has written about it. Put me in great position. I had high hopes based on this thread and it exceeded my expectations , it is not just good it is amazing. I would add that i have never played a Denali shaft before and i absolutely love the feel of it matched with the X head. Looking forward to tomorrows round. Temperature in the mid sixties, dry fairways . Cant wait to hit it again.

Love hearing the instant success. The Denali has been a good pairing for me too.

So in love with this 3w. I’m settled in with it and my favorite part is the step sole. Hit it off the deck a few times today. 2 shots in particular I had 255 to front of green with a 10 mph head wind. Hit a high straight ball and would have made it had it not been so windy. Landed about 20 yards short of green. This was my second shot on hole 9, par 5. Best shot of the day was on hole 17 off the tee. Hit a nice beautiful fade 260 and landed and rolled about 2 feet in the first cut.

After reading the reviews, I pulled the trigger on a 3wd X. It will be replacing a Cobra F8 3wd. Looking forward to something new in that spot.

Nice, you will be in love!

The Elyte Ti 3w is a rocket and the forgiveness has been great.

I was worried after I got it and was hitting it indoors I wouldn’t like it. I was considering swapping for a mini driver. But after some outdoor use. I like it a lot..

So I just posted above this that the distance I'm seeing out of the Ti 5w has been kind of stupid. I'll talk about distance first, and then a bit of a negative for it.

Distance = dumb long with the Ti. And I mean distance out of the center of the face, not distance on helping mishits (though that's still great too). For a reminder, I have the 5w set to -1 (17*) with the 10g in the back and a lighter than standard, 2g in the front. When I center contact on this, my average distance is 260+. I had one last night that was 269 (nice). I'll try to remember to post a picture of that shot on my Garmin app once I sync my watch back up. Seriously though, that's insanity. I don't live on the center of the face as much as I'd like to think, but when I do, a 5w, I repeat a 5w, is only like 20 yards behind my average driver shot. It's crazy to have that 2nd option off the tee, but that leads to my second point.

Unless I hit this dead center, I'm having a hell of a time keeping it straight. My miss is bordering on a hook with this club. Now maybe part of it has to do with my timing with the new shaft. I'm thinking I need to cut my LinQ Red down and put a FW adapter on it so I can try out a new shaft in here to see if that helps me time it up a bit better. The LinQ was money in my driver when I used it in the past, so I know it works well with my swing.

Overall though, I'm pulling this club less than I did my old 5w because it's one extreme or the other so far. Huge, dead straight, bombs or hooks. The big issue is, is those hooks are still going stupid distances and putting me in trouble off the tee even though I'm pulling it to avoid that trouble. Or at least that's why I was pulling 5w last year.

It's a positive that I'm still getting great distance on mishits. I just need to stop having those mishits hook off the planet. I know exactly what I'm doing too. It's been the same issue I have with my driver. So the miss is on me, but until I get it fixed, it's harder for to trust this club knowing that I'm hitting it too far on my big misses. Positives and negatives I guess
I know it’s a bit late but this is the shot I was talking about in my previous post and why this club is stupid long. I went out a day later after this shot and hit another one farther through the fairway. Our course hasn’t turned in the water yet so it’s pretty darn dry. But I truly don’t think the roll is a lot of this distance. The ball is absolutely flying. I really believe a part of that is me switching the 6g front for the 2g. Either way though, what a backup weapon to have off the tee.

I think I figured out those big over draws too. Four swings with it after my post and all dead straight so far. Fingers crossed

I snuck in a quick after work round to get ready for Arizona tomorrow. I hit the ball so low on the face all round. I wish I could say I was doing it purposely for science but that would be a lie.

The fact that the ball still got up in the air with speed and came close to the expected distance is awesome. I don’t know what I’d be doing if I didn’t have the tungsten speed wave bailing me out.

You should take out your old fw at some point soon and see the visible difference. Knowing it's helping is one thing, seeing that difference immediately (even when you know it's happening) I feel would be pretty cool to talk about

That’s a good idea and now I’m curious. I’m going to get out for a fun round next week with some guys from work. I’ll throw the old one in the bag to see.

It's been saying my bacon as well too. I am not doing it on purpose, but hitting it low on the face has been a great way to get through the wind here hahaha

Sneaking out this afternoon and tomorrow to put the 5 wood through some on course paces....really love what I've seen from it on the range. Much easier for me to launch compared to my UW...I get a decent amount more height but feels like similar carry

I think tonight may need to be an Elyte X 3 wood vs Eylte Ti 3 Wood shootout......
