Callaway Elyte Fairway Woods

I'm telling you, it's a completely different feel too. If you think it feels good now, I think you'd be shocked by swapping in a 2g
2g out of stock on Golfworks :( the search continues!

You have any other Callaway drivers? Their head weights are all compatible with these. I’m using an OG Paradym weight in my Elyte, and the Elyte weight in my Ti. But the Smoke weights also fit

Unfortunately I do not. But @bsbmike ONLY if you have an extra one, that would be great!

if you haven't changed anything, it should be 6 front 10 back
Just checked mine. I have a 14g in rear, and 10g in front. I’m going to have to see what other weights I have to put in. I didn’t jack with the weights yet, so surprised my setup is as it is.

Wow that’s shocking. Did you adjust anything on your order? I got mine .75 short and still have the default weights

½” short, that’s it. With the Aretera 75 shaft

Have my third tournament of the season and despite not having the best luck with it so far in putting it into play. I don't think I'll need to use it much, but it's a deserving club of a spot in the bag for tournaments.

Crazy that it’s so different
I have a 2g weight. I just ordered a 6g as well. Going to try your setup and see what the ball flight looks like.

What have you been seeing with 10/14? Are you looking for more launch?

Went to the range last night to help my stepson for a little since he is golfing with a friend today. Ended up just giving him a couple ideas and play what you have;).

It's quite amazing that it's almost more fun to hit these fairways than anything else in the bag. Was able to practice some things with the TI5W. Total blast!

Seeing two Ti 5w in one round is going to be fun here soon!!

Maybe. Not sure. I hit a high ball normally, and the Ti 5w is on the lower side of things, but definitely not in the low category by any means. I hit it well. Just want to see what the lighter weight does since you brought it up and reported good results. You know, FOMO time.

The Ti head just continues to be awesome off the tee for me. I still have no plans to go back to a mini driver because it seems just as forgiving off the tee, and still performs very well off the deck. The core head still has the visual confidence off the deck, but every other aspect is equal or better with the Ti head.

So after Ballyhack early this week I flew out to Arizona for 3 rounds of golf out here. During my time at Ballyhack I really struggled to trust my 3&5 Woods. I will say that it felt like the shaft hung back on me which would cause these blocks out to the right. Now there were times where I would hit them great but I really just haven’t found “it” yet even when I’d hit great balls.

Based on the above I searched through my equipment that I’ve not been using and noticed I still had an old Paradym 3 Wood and I swapped out the shaft in my signature with a LinQ White 8F5 that was in the Paradym. I brought both shafts with me on this trip but I obviously went with the LinQ first. It was night and day for my confidence hitting this setup off the tee. My launch was a little lower and it was dead straight for the most part. It was literally a go to club for me off the tee and I am now feeling comfortable/confident with the setup and the shaft load felt much better to me.

Needless to say I plan on looking for a new shaft in my 5W and having it installed for me. I’m elated with its performance during my 3 rounds here in Arizona.

More to come later on the 5W once I can find me a new shaft.
Quoting this for some additional context.

I had an extra 7F5 3W Lin-Q white laying around so I put a Callaway adapter in it when I got some new driver shaft ready.

The 8F5 is just a little heavy for me but the results have been solid. With the 7F5 shaft it has performed its best since I had the club. I was able to finally work the ball some again. Hole 2 requires a draw and it was the best shot I’d hit in months there. Hole 12 I hit a massive 3W. Had 84 yards to the pin on a hole that measures 418. Yes it was downwind but man it was so good.

I went for the green off the tee on 16 as it was downwind but it’s also uphill. I hit the perfect shot shape up there (draw) and it was just too low to get any help from the wind. It kinda just hit in the neck and stopped. It’s pretty soft out there in some spots with all the rain we had too.

Hole 17 is a par 5 and you can hit driver but for longer guys a lot of people will go 3W off the tee. I did as this hole was into the wind. I felt I could keep it lower and the tee shot down go downhill so I figured it was run out a little even in the softer conditions. The ball got all the way down and run up the fairway some. At this point I had 230ish into the wind so I hit the 3W again and just pushed it out to the right. I haven’t been able to get me a good straight ball of the deck yet but it’s coming, I can feel it.

This club has quickly transformed into my go to when I need a fairway. The feel and sound are unmatched.

So I’m blasting away on the sim. Pulled out the newly reshafted Ti 5w. Put the 2g weight in front and have 14g in the back. Took 12 swings and this is the result.

10 balls at the 220 to 234 distance. All but 1 in the fairway. Had two misses sitting at 190. I’ll take it.

Didn’t notice any great difference in launch, and seeing 85-90 feet peak height. It is going well though.

I’d throw it back in the weight setup you had and see if there is anything you can see from the numbers.

Also how’s it feel with the 2g in front? I thought it changed the feel dramatically

Sorry. Just saw this. I’ll have to try the old setup later in the week. I’m too tired now to give it a fair go.

The 2g weight up front definitely made it feel more like the Elyte X to me, which is a good thing.

Had one memorable shot with the TI5w off a fairway lie. I caught it heavy, which is my kryptonite with fairways. This was more than a touch heavy and it was a definitely and oh no feeling. Ball came out low but stayed online and kept it’s speed. I ended up on the front edge of the green. Definitely did not deserve that result!
