Callaway Elyte Fairway Woods

Man I had some 210-220 yard shots this weekend and I was really missing my ti 5. The super was a great club for me but I’ve developed a bit of the lefts with it. No such issues with the ti5

Had one memorable shot with the TI5w off a fairway lie. I caught it heavy, which is my kryptonite with fairways. This was more than a touch heavy and it was a definitely and oh no feeling. Ball came out low but stayed online and kept it’s speed. I ended up on the front edge of the green. Definitely did not deserve that result!
This happens to me way more than I’d admit, and the results you get away with are insane

Hit the 7W just once in yesterday’s round. Into a stiff hurting left to right wind. Since I launch this pretty high, it didn’t turn out too pretty. Swatted out of the air like Dikembe Mutombo was protecting the green. 🤣

I am not used to such high launching shots - need to factor that in better based on the conditions.

I absolutely love this 5 wood. Twice per round it was used and both times each day it was rock solid. Gets up quick, distance is fantastic and so easy to use off the deck.

I really can’t believe how playable the woods are. I think some that was improved over the last cycle was the launch. Sometimes with a 5 or higher lofted wood they can tend to balloon I have not seen that yet with the elyte.

I know our official review is done but I have some range sessions a round schedule for Monday. Will be the first time I get the Heavenwood out on the course and really excited to see it in action.

Have you had a previous line heavenwood?

I have yet to hit the elyte 3w/5w. It will be fun to see how it compares to the Rogue ST Max 3w/5w in the bag. Those have been money for me.

I’m still working to settle into a setup (shafts, weights) for my Ti 3HL, but I will say the forgiveness is pretty impressive. I toed a few at the range, like really toed and was amazed to see the ball not completely snap left. Was actually a solid flight. So far I have a Rogue 130 6TX in it with 3g forward and 12g back. Think I’m getting closer to my setup.

I have only been out on the course twice with mine so far and in weather that was not real warm or calm but I like it better than the Paradym model. I have the 3HL, HW and 9wd. Pretty impressed by all three so far. That 9wd is so fun to hit! lol

We have a tee shot where if I play the one up tees, I can not hit driver because I can’t elevate it enough, let alone quick enough.

I always take my 5w off this (regardless of tees we play, but especially on the one ups). Tonight was no different. Need to get up and over quick. Ti 5w just launched with zero issues and was bombed dead straight.

I seriously can’t get over how great the Ti feels and performs. I never thought I’d feel this way about another fairway after the Rogue ST line. But that’s clearly in the rear view now. Elyte Ti will be in the bag for a LONG time

This is how I’m feeling. Like if this year’s Grandaddy crew tells us there’s a better one, I won’t believe them 🤣

I got a chance over the weekend to hit the Elyte TI 3W. The sound that it makes is pretty special and the feel is something else.

As far as the Elyte X goes, it’s still probably my favorite club in the bag right now. In Sunday’s round, I had a shot that was like 270 to the front edge and into the wind. I played it back a bit trying to keep it low. I hit the most beautiful stinger I’ve ever hit. It came out like a rocket, climbed slowly, and ran forever when it hit the ground. I couldn’t believe I made it all the way up to the green side bunker. This club is so much fun to hit and it’s so easy it’s ridiculous!

I have no doubt the Paradym and Ai Smoke FWs were better than the Rogue. I read all those threads. I just loved the Rogue.

But something about the Ti and the “Concept Club” got to me. Probably because I saw how insane the Ti Fusion irons were, I wanted to get in on this too.

If they do another concept in the future, I’ll probably dive in. But for now, this is as locked in the bag as it can be

I'm still playing the Elyte TD 3w and 7w so will continue to update as well. They've been fun to play.

Partials on the TI5W are so fun! Love how it lands the ball soft!

Yet, it can reach out there when needed. Thought I had pulled the TI3W on a short driveable P4 (Risk/Reward). Thank goodness I didn't as this beast landed pin high and rolled off the left side of the green. Made it an easy bogey :ROFLMAO:. From a high to low real quick, just had to laugh and remember the TI5W.

The TI3W also performed well today 50% success when I pulled it. Will take the heat for the club in the absolute top that still rolled out more than I thought.

Had a long approach on a P5 and if it wasn't for a hill green side it would have made it home.

These TI's are too much fun!

The Elyte Ti 3HL is such a monster. My best shot of the round last time out was my tee shot with the Ti 3HL on a par 5 with trees and water (creek and pond cuz one it's enough) on the right and OB on the left with a narrow window to hit the ball through. I aimed at some trees to the left off in the distance and hit a straight laser that was over 270 yds (maybe even about 290). I am not a fast swinger (just under 100mph driver swing speed), so I'd be happy with that with my driver.

I am sort of reluctant to pull it out for some tee shots that I didn't hesitate to use my previous 3HL on, but that just gives me more opportunities to hit the 21* UW so I'm learning to accept it. :)

Got in nine holes today and hit the Elyte TD 3w off the tee twice. It was super windy so being able to control the ball flight and trajectory was crucial. I’m finding doing that with the Elyte TD to be fairly easy. Both shots were hit lower and on the line I needed. I’m so impressed with it.

I finally put a great swing on course with my Ti 5W. The wind was helping. But goodness gracious that was awesome to watch.

Saved my butt after horrific tee ball.

So this tungsten speed wave tech is not smoke and mirrors. I think I got away with 3 balls low on the face (maybe I am trying to perfect the @bigbov piss-missile to use against him) that ended way further than I had expected these to go. My 5w is pretty much a club I am going to pull when I need to get as much distance as possible so I am not too concerned with a high ball flight that needs to hold greens. As long as I can elevate it enough to clear whatever crap may need carry, this club has been doing exactly what I want it to do from non-tee scenarios. It’s nice to have some confidence in a fairway.

Question those with the denali charcoal shaft what do you think about it for 3 or 5 wood? I would probably choose the 55 gram. Thx.
