Callaway Elyte Fairway Woods

Played a long par 3 this past week playing at 245 and a little downhill. Hit the Elyte TD 7w to about 5 feet. Absolutely loving having it in the bag.
You with high majestic 7W dimes is not fair hahaha

I JUST ordered an Elyte 4h, don’t be posting this making me think I need the TD 7w too 🤣

Elyte Ti 3HL is serving its purpose as mostly a second tee option very well. Good to great swings reward me with 220-250 yards off the tee and sometimes they are a bit farther than that. Such a fun beast to have in the bag.

Damn that is a shot!

Speed wave is unreal. Had a tough nine holes today and the other three guys in my foursome bailed at the turn. Instead of waiting all day as a single on the back, I needed up going to the range to work on some stuff. Been struggling with my 5w swing recently and spent some time getting it back in line

One particular shot has me just astounded at the performance. Hit a ball that couldn’t have been more what I thought was “thin”. Got about halfway up in the air in what a normal strike would have and flew dead straight. The roll I would have gotten could have been as far as a normal ball if we didn’t have the net at the back of the range.

It’s amazing the things you can get away with because of the speed wave/step sole combo
Gahh the thin performance in these is tempting me so hard. The TSR2 is a fantastic club, but while very controllable and playable, those thin shots definitely don't get bailed out quite like this.

I would love to get away with things 😅

It’s the best fairway I’ve ever played and I love to go through 3Ws. Not coming out of my bag anytime soon.

Coming from a GT2 to the Ti 5w, the performance gain on mishits is truly mind bending good.

I’m not saying you need one, but you need one
Not gonna lie. A 7W has been high on the ponder list lately. Just not sure it'll fill a gap.

I always love my three wood spot but I also hit my hybrids really well so could potentially see Elyte 3 wood going in to compliment my AI Smokes 3/4 hybrids.

And the GT2 is even better than the TSR2...

My wallet right now

Flushed the Ti off the tee between some trees last night and the sound was sooo good. Wish I had a recording of it

I didn’t have as many opportunities as I had hoped to swing the Ti 5w. Par 5’s were always a bit too far to try to reach in 2 and there was never a reason to not hit driver off the tee.
I played this once off a fairway lie and just nuked it. The sound and feel of the TI is just so good. I actually hit it a bit heely too…just had to test the ai 10x face 😀

With some good shots with the 3w today finally. Feel like my swing is almost getting back. I turned the Ti 3w up 2 degrees trying to get a bit more height out of it was was seeing what I hoped to there. Did lose a little distance but that’s ok as it was pretty even with driver. With my swing coming back around I might try taking the loft back down a little.

On a side note the Heavenwood was, as always, money.

Dude, exact same here. I thought I’d need it a bit more. Though by like hole six, I probably should have started teeing off with it instead. Might have made it to 16 or 17 😂

Fine, you have all talked me into the Ti 3 wood. Currently play a Ventus Black TR in the Driver. Not going to do the upcharge even though I have a VIP account. Just can't justify an additional $125 for a 3 wood. So with that said, Diamana Waves White or Tensei Black? Any experiences out there with these shafts? I am leaning toward Tensei because I think it will feel a little softer than the Waves Diamana, but I haven't hit the Waves. I am only basing that on my prior experience with the telephone pole whiteboard.

With your distance you probably would not have lost too much at GrayBull by doing that. Easy to MMQB after tho.
GrayBull is so open and inviting off the tee so it would be hard to not hit the big stick.

Sometimes I feel like this 3W goes nearly as far as my driver.

Can't speak to the Waves, but have the 1K Tensei Black in all the woods in my bag right now.

Same. My Elyte X 3 goes about about as far as a well struck driver these days. I have a stock Denali Charcoal. I just give it a sec to load and letter rip.

I guess the one downside is when you pull that club because you cannot hit it long…then you proceed to anyway. It’s one of those that sucks but you can’t really be mad at 😀

Forgot to mention...at our faculty scramble last week, I hit a bunch of woods because the course is on the shortish side. If we were in the fairway already I'd rip driver, if not the Elyte was phenomenal. Just a simple swing and it goes. (I am fairly shallow and the speed wave really helps on balls caught low.) I feel with the step sole I can be a touch steeper off the deck or rough which has helped my contact. I hit a 3w 235 out of the rough under a tree on a par 5 that we really needed a birdie. Came up just short but we were able to chip it close. That shot may have convinced my cartner to upgrade to Elyte!

So I’m looking at the trade in deal for an Elyte 3 wood. So currently I have my AI Smoke Max with a black shaft 75. So I think the best version would be Elyte or the Elyte TI (Feel free to tell me if I’m off lol.) since my max is Low/mid spin and high launch. I’m uncertain on shaft. My TSR 3 wood I previously played was fitted to Tensai Blue 65 S but that was some years ago. My Driver is tensai white 65 S.

Help please? Lol

How did you get along with the Tensei Blue vs what you have in the Max?
