Golfers are blessed to have more options than ever to fill gaps at the top of their bag. With choices that include fairway woods, hybrids, utility irons, and even utility woods, it seems like we should never run into a scenario where can’t find a club that works. Still, it happens. For example, a player […]

It’s great to see the market trend continue of adjustable hybrids. They can help so many golfers when dialed in.

I haven't had as much time with these as I would like, but it's been good. I'll be curious to hear and see more from people who play hybrids more. I do selfishly wish there was a 7H in the X for some guys I know, but that's okay. Let's hear some feedback from the Grandaddy guys on these!

Great write up @Hawk. Love the adjustability on the hybrids with the ability to go flatter to avoid the big hook miss that can pop up with some Hybrids. Also love that they have an appearance closer to a wood than some, it's a look I prefer.

Great writeup @Hawk! The hybrids look great, I think the adjustability will help dial them in for folks

Very thorough write-up Ryan, well done. Looks like a big jump in tech introduced in this lineup. Looking forward to hearing some feedback from the GD team re. on course experiences.

Nice write up @Hawk! These look pretty slick. I’m curious to see what our GD crew got fit into and how it gaps into their new set ups!

Great write up @Hawk !

These could honestly replace the 5i this year instead of a 7/9W. Pretty interested in this!

Ooh, they look good.

Love how 2025 is shaping up to be the year of the adapter.

I’ll preface this with @Hawk has gone over all of the goodness that is contained in the Elyte hybrids and move onto my own journey with hybrids and then focus a bit on the Elyte X that I was fit into at the Grandaddy. I’ve not bagged a hybrid since an old Nike club when I first started playing golf 9 years ago now. I’ve just never gotten along with them (read I didn’t quite understand how to hit them) as I always tried to hit them like you would a wood, so once I got it in my head to hit with a descending strike things clicked a little bit but I still struggled with them. So as myself and my fitter Gerritt worked through building my bag I mentioned that I wanted a hybrid in there as I wanted to commit to something more forgiving in the 210-220 range.

Enter the Elyte hybrid series as @Hawk has so eloquently highlighted the X series has the AI10x face, and has a ton of forgiveness laterally baked in. So after hitting a few of both the standard and the X model, we decided the X was the way to go to give me maximum forgiveness in this spot in the bag- and decided to stick some beefy goodness in there with a 9x Ventus black to help some of my spin issues from a less than ideal swing.

I don’t have many swings with it yet, as that distance isn’t one that I typically see but I did hit it once off the tee against Mr. Finley in singles and it found the fairway at that 212 distance that I was looking for. More swings are required, especially after a couple of sim sessions where the distance was a little longer than what I was hoping for, but the good news is with the new hosel I’ve got options to play with.

The stock Elyte hybrid looks like a real winner to me. I love the AI Smoke but see this as a chance to really be able to attack with much less concerns about the left miss. Will test for certain.

Nicely done @Hawk right off the rip seeing this new adapter and weighting makes this such an attractive option. I love the shaping of the Elyte

The driver will be the big talk, followed by the fairway woods with it being Callaway...but these feel like they will be sneaky reaaaaallllly good

Quick question for the Grandaddy participants (and I apologize I didn’t see it in the writeup. The new adapters look great, however, I do have several shafts with the old adapters… Has the threading changed so I must swap out the adapters or can I use a previous one but not get the benefits of the extra adjustability?

Appreciate the write-up, @Hawk. I’m curious to see these in hand. I fight the left miss. Flatter adjustments are a good thing. I don’t think I’ve played a hybrid that didn’t look really closed at address. Trying to play one with the face slightly open and with a somewhat less than consistent swing doesn’t raise the confidence level. If these look neutral at address, they’ll get a look for ‘25.

Nice write up @Hawk

Hybrid is probably the most volatile spot in my bag. I've been currently pondering going back to a UW in one of my spots, but I like the idea of adding one of these too.

Elyte 5 hybrid, 1 flat, heavy weight toe...

I have to imagine these are going to be the underrated superstar of the Elyte lineup. They look GOOD.

Great write up @Hawk. The “problem with hybrids” section was particularly apt.

Not going to lie, like the weight adjustability in the Toe and Heel (Like PXG)and the lie angle option as well.
Should be able to really dial in these hybrids.

Those Elyte hybrids have such a good shape to them. I really like the look of these.

This hybrid nearly convinced me to get one after 8 years of being a utility guy. The presentation on the cg, weight, offset everything made me try one at ECPC. First one I chunked but I watched it sail mid high and keep going. Still went almost 190. Second one was a better strike and 195 for me. Decided to go with a 7w, but the distance, spin, and launch were awesome

Pretty wild they have a completely new/different adapter on just these hybrids. I dig it.
