Callaway Elyte Hybrids

I have been having fun hitting this club (Elyte 4 Hybrid), I have been missing left both on the range and one the course.
I'm curious to see if I change the lie to flat, would it help? Has anyone done this?

Looks like I'm buying an elyte 3 hybrid.. off the ponder and into the bag!

Do you have the heavier weight in the toe or heel?

Also I agree with it being a fun club. It’s a close race between it and my UW for favorite club to hit right now.

The 12g weight is in the toe, think I should switch those first?

No if the weight is in the toe I think I would try going flat. Switching the heavy weight to the heel could cause even more left.

Ok sweet, that's what I will do.

I have mine set to 1 flat and weight in the toe and I have never once missed right. I would 1000% give that shot if you're pulling or over drawing these

Is there a way to make it 1 flat standard?

This chart doesn't show the option for STD / 1 Flat.

Sadly no. Just like there's no option to lower/raise by one degree and stay standard lie. So mine is one Strong, one Up.

Like your Cap already answered, no. Only double flat or flat with an adjustment to loft. That's a bit of a bummer but -lie and -loft has worked wonders for me

Change in lie angle is going to help the ball start less left (just knowing your swing path and ball flight). Start with 2 degrees and see what happens.

I’ve had a tendency to overswing my 3 hybrid here lately, which is leading to my poor swing tendencies to creep in. There was some frustration the last couple of rounds as I started seeing the slice that has kept me out of hybrids forever. Last night I made a concerted effort to feel like I’m swinging 60% and let the club head do the work and was rewarded with some pretty nice shots.

One in particular is on a par 5 that has a creek at about 250. Wind was behind us last night and I didn’t feel great about taking on the creek, so pulled the hybrid as I wanted to give myself a solid layup towards the end of the fairway, but play the hole as it was intended. A 60% swing and I was exactly where I wanted to be. (We won’t talk about what I did with the 2nd shot trying to get greedy)

All in all I’m extremely happy with my decision to put this in the bag and have found the benefit of having the forgiveness in the bag at this particular spot.

I've got overnight thoughts of shortening the shaft on my Max Fast 5 Hybrid. I hit 2 good shots, then get 1 that I hit under and sky it. When I hit it well, its 173-175 carry. Right on the money, but these skied mishits kill me and go 100 yards straight up. At the end of my session last night I choked down a little and flushed two shots with it. So it got my mind racing.

Anyone have any luck playing hybrids shorter than standard length?

I guess I play my driver and woods at -½" regularly, so shouldn't really be concerned.

Just go 2 flat so you don’t change the loft and face angle. I played the Epic SH 4H and Paradym 5H last year and I could hook those suckers.

My miss now with the Elyte 4 and 5 hybrids is like a push, I just need to straighten my line out and trust it will go straight or a slight fade.

I was having the same issue with my Max Fast 5 Hybrid. A couple weeks ago I went -1/2” and adjusted my setup with the ball slightly forward with neutral shaft lean…now hitting the hybrid great, from tee and turf! This video got me back on track with my hybrid.

I hit the Elyte 3 hybrid at the range last night and got on really well with it. I really liked the Rogue ST Pro 3 hybrid I've been playing but this seems a bit easier to hit and more forgiving. I cannot wait to get it out on the course!

It's a good video and he has a couple good points. I really don't think Im doing anything different to be honest. I just hit the ball at the bottom of the arc, and the shallow face of the max fast is enough to hit under it at times. I do not hit under the ball with the Elyte X 4 and 5 hybrids, but they have a taller face.

I am pretty convinced I need to try it shorter. Maybe cut down all my hybrids ½", as my miss is a fat shot when I do miss them.

Pretty much I hit mine the same. And all they do is go straight . I'm happy.

I agree…I also cut down my driver 2“ and fairway woods 1“. My consistency and ball striking has been better than ever and I actually increased my distance for driver, woods, and hybrid. It has been a great decision for me!

Boy howdy, I have had incredible success. Guess how much shorter my hybrid is than standard? -1.75". I say cut it down lol

Love the idea of cutting m hybrids down, fairways too, I'm thinking 1".

what the ? -1.75"? Holy cow. What made you go that drastic? I know you were anti hybrid like me, so need to know.

I wanted it the same length as my old 4i (which was also cut down). Since I hadn’t had a hybrid before, I wanted it close to what I was used to.

If/when I get a 5 or 6h, I’ll be cutting it down quite a bit as well

Hit the X a few times during league tonight. Had a pretty good draw going with it. Distance wasn’t quite there with the big draw tonight either. I’m going to adjust it some to try and take some left out of it
