Callaway Elyte Hybrids

I need to just get some range time with this guy and find the groove again.

That is the plan this weekend with mine to get it dialed and setup the way I want it going forward. Hopefully the inflammation in my elbow goes away by Sunday and I can get out there.

It’s here, it’s awesome and it needs to be hit ASAP!

So even with my elbow being stupid I was able to put a few swings on the hybrid with some foam and plastic balls last night. OMG do I love the tensei white in this club! My M3 has the CK Blue and it’s nice but it ain’t what the AV White is! Tomorrow at lunch it’s gonna be range time with this! Sound and feel reports coming soon

Ok so just did a short range session tonight 7 iron, 4h, Elyte driver. OMG is this hybrid incredible. First 2-3 shots were meh as I was trying to get all of everything out of it. Then I settled down and let it do the work and wow does it hit the ball far! It will be used for sure tomorrow! Such a great sound and feel from it the tensei av white is freaking perfect in it! Oh man am I gonna have fun with this club!

Love my 3H still. The front 9 of the course I played today is ok the shorter side and I used hybrid a few times off the tee. They also had, for my over the water par 3 that is 167 playing 170 something, 200 playing 215 into a headwind. Hit a slightly lower hybrid dead on but I could be heard from Maine all the way to Michigan yelling "get up!"

I find if I have a smooth tempo I hit nice straight and baby draw shots. If I get a little quick, they go left even quicker. My only right miss has been the occasional heavy shot. So far it has been a miracle considering how I hit my woods. I even nearly got into trouble with a baby draw on a downhill par 5 about 255 to the front and 263 middle. Small green with the Atlantic long and bunkers short, I figured I'd pump the hybrid down as far as it would go and hit a flip wedge on. Well it went 258 and wound up in the left greenside rough just over the back bunker. I did see a recent pitch mark on the green so it may have landed middle left with draw spin and wound up in the rough (it's a blind shot). Although the initial tee shot is slightly uphill, I did hit my hybrid further than my driver on that hole as I teed it oo high and the wind ate it for breakfast.

Noticed some chemical reactions on the bottom of my 3h.

Not the end of the world, but still...

Nice to see a new option pop up that was not expected or envisioned.

Being as the hybrid gets play primarily as a tee option, do you actually tee up the ball when hitting with the hybrid? I'm in experiment mode, as I don't know that i've ever teed up a ball for a hybrid hit. On the tee box I've always hit off the turf, but have been wondering what the majority do. I could see use of a short tee here.
I tee mine up

Maybe a little mothers metal polish might clear it up
Bar Keepers Friend might work? It's not the end of the world.

As do I. Pretty low but higher than an iron for whatever reason. Maybe 0.25"?

Previously with hybrids, I got a big difference in carry between my hybrid off the deck and off the tee, possibly due to less than perfect contact off the deck. This hybrid is probably the closest I've had between the two.

Another note:

5W37%12%
7W33%0%
3H64%57%
UT 20*41%10%
5i54%39%

Now two caveats. I'm not hitting a ton of woods into greens as I'm often laying up on par 5's if there is danger and not usually hitting a wood into a green on a par 4. Second, I've played the woods for longer than I've had the hybrid.
That being said, I've used hybrid 26 times in the 2 weeks I have had it and used my corresponding 5w 34 times since December...

Definitely feel like the hybrids may have a shot at permanently kicking a couple woods or my UT to the bench for a while

Did you put it inside the headcover when it was still wet?

I have seen this on the adjustable adapter screws before but it’s always after they got wet and I didn’t dry them. Never on the head itself.

Probably. Again, not the end of the world. Science is fun

Hybrid continues to be an absolute workhorse for the tee and from plenty of second shots. I had one particular shot on Sunday on hole 18. I was about 220 out and was originally going to lay up for a safe shot since I had to get over a ravine. Playing partner convinced me to go for it and I hit a perfect ball and was on in two. Left the eagle putt much shorter than I should have, but still made the birdie and helped contrive to my best score ever on this course.

The amount of trust I have in this club (even though I wasn’t going to hit that shot because I’m a wuss), is like nothing I e had in my bag before. Complete confidence. Game transforming club for me this year

My Elyte 3h was a star yesterday. Had multiple shots into greens from 200+ and I felt confident going after it. If I didn't hit the green, then I ended up pin high. The ball flies of the face of these. I paired mine with the Hzrdus Smoke RDX Red and it's perfect for me.

210 yard par 3. Hit pin high a couple yards left of the flag. One of my best shots ever from that distance.

215 yards out. Ended up pin high just off the green.

I had 3 more shots similar to these and the Elyte 3h delivered each time.

Club review for live round throw down against @Michael.Sandoval33.

I pulled the Elyte 4h today after experiencing some tee box trouble from what is normally a reliable club in my Elyte driver. This was the first in round swing for the hybrid and from the drop zone 247 to the back of the green. I swung and heard a very satisfying thwack. Then saw a very satisfying flight that had the ball hitting the green and bouncing up and running out to the back. I have never hit a hybrid that pack a punch this big and that was out of the rough!

I then teed one up on the 9th for a fun swing from my son’s tee box about 235 to the middle and I went for a fade and it faded I just didn’t start it enough left. It was incredible to see!

This club is definitely on my recommend to others list it is a weapon and I’m fully intended to utilize it more in every possible situation. 5/5 for the Callaway Elyte Hybrids!

I think I have to go hit one now. I've looked at them a couple of times and at address they are different than the fairways I've played in the past. I can't put my finger on it. But after seeing you recover like that, gotta hit it.

Dude I can’t tell you how fantastic the shot was it was easily the shot of the round and I had 2 great tee shot on par 3s.

Hot the 4h twice today and it went straight both times. Hoozah! Progress

The Elyte X 4 hybrid is becoming my “safety” club for the 190 - 200 yard range. yesterday I hit two shots from the rough on par 5s to simply advance and both ended up way better than what I was expecting. A fairly relaxed/controlled swing and the ball just gets up and goes. Both were straight and got “great shot” comments from my group. So I’ll take the minor victories on course.

On the bad side I pulled it on a long 195 yard par 3 after the guys I was playing with all ended up being woefully short in bunkers. I was not short, and flew pin high, but the draw/hook appeared and it went right of the green and got a bad kick into the bushes from the downslope. It was unfortunate and ended up scoring badly, but I learned something I need to practice with, I think this was the first shot off the tee box when teeing up the ball with the hybrid.

on the box I remembered asking about this a week or so ago, and most said they tee up the hybrids on par 3s. I just didn’t know what to expect and caught it a little weird I think. I’m not a draw-er or a hook kind of guy. I need to practice teeing up these hybrids prior to next round.

I also reccomend you do. The 3h just launched the ball so easy. And although I don't, or shouldn't, move the ball left and right, it does that woth ease. They are just so nice to hit.

I like the sound of that 👊🏽 the Golftec where I'm taking lessons is down the street from the PGA Superstore and I think I am about to become reaaal acquainted with the staff there the next 3 months.

So 2nd round with the 4h in the bag and it seriously continues to be the best option at the top of the bag right now! Straight ball, draw, or fade it makes it so easy. Today off the tee on a hole that got away from me bad last time out I hit a 220 yard fade up to the middle of the fairway leaving about 70 in to the green. Exactly what I wanted and landed bounced and stopped where I wanted. This club is and incredible weapon. I have no idea how they improve on it, but I’m d*** excited to find out!

Range session was mainly to work on driver today but the hybrid made an appearance and it continues to impress. Week after week this thing is so good! High and low flights easy fades. It is going to be the workhorse for the 225-230 distance for some time to come!

Picked up an Elyte #4 Hybrid from CPO.
Honestly don't know much about them except that the COG has more lie angle options as I tend the hook my current Hybrid.
