Callaway Elyte Hybrids

I believe this argues pretty aggressively I need to give the hybrid another go. 🙃

Remind me, what was the issue you were fighting with the hybrid? I recall you spent quite a bit of time with the weights and the lie angle adjustments.

Really fought aggressive rights.

Your distance chart is exactly why I picked up and now bag two hybrids. My 5i and 6i were the same distance, around 175-180. So I ditched the 5i. I put a 5H in play and that gives the 185-190 distance, and added a 4H for the 195-205 distance. And the 3 SH is 210-215, maybe 220 if I step on it.

Elyte x could be a possible option. Has some draw bias built in, but definitely far from a hook machine, with most being high straight ball flights. From there, you can probably dial in the weights and the adapter as needed.

Always amazed at how easy the Elyte hybrid is to hit. It’s a high confidence club in the bag that I’ve been able to use in a wide range of situations. With how easy it is to hit and elevate the ball, at times, I’ve even found myself opting to hit my 4hy taking a lot off of the swing vs trying to swing the 5i and even sometimes 6i.

Think I pulled the 4hy around 5 or 6 times last round (the most I’ve ever reached for it in a round). Used it on shots ranging from 175 - 210 including tee, fairway and rough lies so very versatile for me.

These hybrids are so confidence inspiring. Im on hte sim after a little bit of a layoff on swinging, and just working up through the bag. Im at the hybrids and just can't miss.

Posting these more for my records on data, for future comparison. I love these numbers as they are the gaps I need. The descent angle is a little steep, but I'll take it.

First swing with it. Spin is a little low, but gaps are what I need to hit.

I really love these things. I think these have a safe space in the bag for 2026.
