Callaway Elyte Irons

It helps with the acoustics and vibrations. I don’t know that you can really do away with them without going full blown hollow body.
You are right there. I was thinking the Elytes were full hollow body, but the badge is covering up the back of the speed frame part (where it’s not hollow), as the gel is in the lower half.

So you've played the Elyte's all year long- if you could pick one thing that you hope Callaway will improve upon when you're sitting in that presentation in December, what is it?

I'll tag some of my other Elyte user's to jump in- @Joshnoble01 @Dougie
Not much really. Give me a darker finish or maybe even satin and a little softer feel outside of center.

Sooo good

Just using them the past few months I don’t know that there’s really anything to critique. They have a touch more spin than the ai200 for me and feel almost as good. Like @Dougie said if they could somehow make center contact of the elyte match the ai200s then that would really be something special. Performance wise however just not sure there’s more they can do there other than have the club swing itself

Used these on vacation as rentals. They didn't feel like rentals at all. Few swings and I loved them. Looking forward to trying the 2026 Callaway core model. I know it'll be killer.

Core models should not be neglected. So good

Weird things happening today at the sim. The sims are Truegolf Apogee simulators. Overhead cameras. I cleaned my irons so they were extra shiny.

The shine from the irons must have thrown off the camera. I saw many shots that were read as 13°+ over the top with a face 4°-8° open and ball flights that started right and went WAY right.

Wild stuff.

Yeah they are flashy.

I’ve never experienced miss reads. But I have an overhead spot light. I can use it to test my face alignment at address. With the glare cast onto my impact screen.

So I’m about 8 months in with the Elyte irons and these hands down have to candidates for iron set of the year. My ball striking has never been better in this area of my game. The profile of these scream premium and have held up well for me from a durability perspective! Paired with the UST Mamiya Recoil Darts, I am finding more greens and hitting my ideal windows with launch, shot shape and distance!

Well done Callaway!!!

Just weird readings. A shot 13° over the top shouldn't start right. And as I'm prepping, seeing a hard right going right shape, really threw me off.

But driver was more successful, but that's for a different thread

Maybe get some foot spray (the stuff with powder that I have seen used on drivers to indicate face contact) to see if that helps?

This is the first time I've seen that issue with the Elytes. I had them on the same sims last winter.

Plus, I won't be playing the Elytes after December

Went and picked up my precious Elyte's today.

Guy was done testing them and absolutely loved the heads. Shafts weren't his profile, but he is going to try them in something more in line with what he uses.

As the season comes to a close for several of us, and we know that there is new product on the horizon for the budget conscious shoppers- Callaway is offering $100 off a set of these and appear to have most head configurations in stock. Still my favorite iron I've put in the bag and at this point have no plans to replace them in the '26 season.

That sort of discount in really solid irons should tempt a lot of golfers. Lots of good high flights and solid turf interaction.

Lots of stopping power comes from that height

Indeed- I know I'll have eyes towards what you guys see in a month, and I'll be really interested to hear how they've improved on these-- but... it's going to be difficult, at least in my head for them to make these in line irons better.

Hell of a deal

I am curious where they feel they could improve on an inline release. These are just on point for what you would want from this sort of offering

Just realizing I will hit some SIM shots this weekend w/ my Elyte X irons and then I will be getting a new set next week. This was a hell of a season w/ these irons as I lowered my hdcp by a few strokes and in no small part due to the forgiveness and shot correction of the X. I can't wait to see what's next but I will miss these irons. I will spend the winter practicing for next season w/ my new set so I'm sure one of my sons will get very lucky and play the Elyte X irons for me.

I am kind of sad to know these irons' days are limited in my bag.

Lately, I've been seeing some tight gaps and very high flights. I don't hate the height. I like a high flight. Lots of stopping power from the Elytes. I need to have that

These irons may never leave my bag. I say that tongue in cheek because I know the next set will be better. The Elyte irons are great

They make me sad I never chased main line releases in the past. They're a really good offering.
