Callaway Opus SP Wedges

feels good knowing I adapted when I got it but have settled back in. I can't wait to see what the spins gonna be now. 14k on a 60 degree full swing. Its meaningless really but I want 15k.
Goddamn, how?! I’m around 12.

The trajectory is much more aggressive with the SPs. It's really nice to see that spin and know it's okay to be aggressive
I think you can try to throw it at the hole and not worry about it not holding.

I have also been a fan of the versatility of the C grind on tight lies near the green.

Are you the kind of guy who full swings their wedges? Do you play for suck back?

Only the 54° on occasion, I hit the ball so high that there is no suck back.

I can't wait to get the C out on course because of the amount of tight lies my course usually has. But it's going to be X for 95% of the shots I imagine. And occasionally I'll throw the W in the bag for some fun.

I've been using the S for a lot of shots if I have green to work with.

It’s off of the Matt. I guess it’s just perfect contact and my release. I overspin most everything I have.

That’s a lot of spin! I imagine the ball always rips back towards you on full shots?
I will never hit my 60° full unless I have to go over an obstacle. My 54° on a full shot turns a little further left than I like and it’s about 122 yards. That ball flat turns a little too far left from my liking

That's crazy! I'm happy hitting 11,000 on my 58.

Golf is funny. I just don’t see anything close to these spin numbers. Grass, matt, whatever. My increase in spin is just relative to what I am used to.

That’s why golf is funny. I’m gonna try to get my lie angles bent down 2 degrees this weekend

Satin black will never not be my favorite finish on a club.

Can anyone compare these to the Opus Platinum? Apologies if I'm skimming. I'm loving what I'm reading here about these having a more aggressive trajectory than the standard Opus. I hit wedges pretty high so any help I can get flighting the ball down is always welcome.

I'm tempted to go SP+ just for the Z grind in the 58 but pondering a 54X as well, which would put me in one of each.

More spin. Slightly lower flight. Firmer.

54X is my Swiss army knife secret weapon wedge.

I didn't have my mind set on any finish. So I waited until my fitter asked me at ECPC. I went with the black. I did add some color so I can distinguish between my 2 wedges.

I’m a high ball hitter like you, never played the Opus Platinum, but did play the standard Opus. And you will like the ball flight.

The flatter flight with high spin is really going to work well with your swing.

My club guy moved so I don't have anyone to bend these. I'm thinking 2 flat for these will cure all the ills. I hit target today when adjusting for the lie angle.
