By now most of the world knows that the Opus wedges are on their way from Callaway and no doubt most of you have seen the pictures. However, there is more than meets the eye to this release, and once again, many of the self-appointed internet sleuths whiffed on a few key details, don’t worry […]

Great article, the raw looks so good!

I was lucky enough to get to put these on course a little early and have really enjoyed them. As a strong impact position guy I'm not scared of a little bounce and that in combination with some great toe shaping and relief had been a really solid experience out there.

I know the Platinum price won't be for many but the differences on them are exactly what I go for on feels and flights, so thanks Callaway. 😆 The platinum blue too...

The standard Opus have impressed me though and I'm excited to see how everyone else gets along with them. Big fan of the Z getting deeper into the lineup!

That raw finish... 🔥 🔥

"More spin from every situation" sign me freaking up.

These are exciting.

Oh, are they blue? Read about no raw face, but the rest of them looked raw to me. Either way they look great!

Great job... looking forward to more details and evaluations to come!

Thank you!!

I’m so glad the T grind is back.
Looking forward to some range time and fitting these

Can’t wait to get these in hands to try. Like the looks and can’t wait to start hearing thoughts on these.

Blue is not available as of yet, but there is a Platinum Blue coming.
Its discussed in the article.

"Contrary to the internet wannabe news breakers out there, the name does not have anything to do with Roger Cleveland, so it’s time to let that theory go, sorry to burst that bubble."

This is an all time sentence @Jman.

Was just in the Callaway website. Gunmetal shaft in the platinum sounds awesome.

Interesting there's no lower than 8º bounce options in the Platinum line at launch.

I'm currently loving my SM10s but I definitely want to try either a T or C grind in these at some point.

oh wow, those look absolutely amazing. The darker finishes are just eye popping! I bet that platinum will hit some fabulous flop shots!

Raw 60* c grind is happening the day they drop.

Those pictures look much better than others I had seen. Seems like a good step for callaway wedges.

Great article! While the departure from the Jaws visuals is one of the first things that stand out (I'm a big fan of the look of the Opus), there's a ton of advancement in what they're doing with these. New ways to add surface roughness for more bite, and 1200+ added spin from wet conditions is pretty crazy. These sound exciting!

Kind of wish the standard Opus had the same milling detail on the back of the wedge like the Platinum does, but minor nit pick.

I liked that one myself.

Great review as always @Jman was definitely worth the wait. So many great options available, now to figure out which grind will work best.

That blue is :love: and would look great with the AI One sitting next to it.

Great writeup as usual @Jman. This is an interesting departure visually, but liking most of what I'm hearing. Bummer to see the X grind go away but I know the T grind is a favorite of many. I'm really curious to see how the Platinum blue looks, but I like everything I've seen so far of these wedges.

The black shadow is a bit gun bluey but the platinum blue is .. more blue. And yes they look great!
