I'm glad I have it as a 58, I put my 60 Wingman back in for rounds to cover bunker shots as the 54 isn't right either for me for sand.Yeah the T grind is not for steep swings. Nothing to help prevent it from digging for oil.

I worked hard to shallow my swing over the last couple of years. The 58 for me hasn't been a full swing club for awhile. The 58 is my "hey you guys should watch this shot" club.I'm glad I have it as a 58, I put my 60 Wingman back in for rounds to cover bunker shots as the 54 isn't right either for me for sand.
Past one's were more of a grayish color other than the MD3, if I'm remembering right?I think I'm in the minority that I really didn't think the black finish this time around was all that great compared to past versions.

Look at those nice straight brush marks. Mine are….sot straight. Hahaha
I'd be interested in the differences in ball flight overall, as well as spin differences on bump and run shots.I'm excited to get to work comparing the 54's. I don't NEED to, but dammit, its my job, right? LMAO
I can already tell you on full swings its 3* of launch difference.I'd be interested in the differences in ball flight overall, as well as spin differences on bump and run shots.

For me, greenside, the differences are more minimal, I believe it was a handful of RPM.
Bummer. Sand is dumb. lol
I play the 54 PM grind w 14 bounce - but need an upgrade - I am basically a non divoter - what grind bounce might be a good fit?Played the 54W as my SW exclusively today, man, it is wild how much more firm the Opus feedback is to me in that spot than the Opus Platinum.
That said, the W sole is just crazy good for me. I can hit all the shots with it, because I freaking LOVE using the bounce on a higher bounce club, from ANY lie.
So, I am a little torn.
One more round tomorrow, then maybe I make the swap this weekend.
Had a couple of those today but was in some decently fluffy grass that levitated the ball, so I chalked mine up to that.I had FOUR balls roll up the face today on longer chips/pitches today. That broke my back when it came to scoring. I was honestly shocked after how beautifully these have performed so far. Won't think much of it. Just stung a little more with it being the last round of the year
Three of my four were decent lies. It was surprising to say the least. I was confident each time (even after each time it had happened) because it's something that I hadn't seen my entire time with them. I doubt it was anything that would have been consistent. I most likely noticed it more since it was my last chance to use them outside, so I was hyper focused on results with all my clubs todayHad a couple of those today but was in some decently fluffy grass that levitated the ball, so I chalked mine up to that.
Will she be instantly used in the rocks or spared for awhile?Opus Platinum 54 10/Z is in hand for review.
Look at that pretty blue

This is such a good looking golf shaft. Same shaft just in the gunmetal finish from the regular Opus, I believe

Against a straight grout line you can see the slight curve of the Opus line. Love this look compared to the straight leading edge on the Jaws Raw.

I measure about 3 quarters is how high the leading edge is above a hard surface. When I did the same on the Opus with the T grind it was between 2 and 3 quarters where the leading edge was there.
