Not well educated, but Optifit4 is new and appears to allow loft and lie adjustments independent of one another (eg. can increase loft and decrease lie angle)Nice write up @Jman the enhance step sole sounds exciting.
For those not as familiar with the Callaway Hosels what adjustments does the Optifit 4 hosel allow?
Count me in as one who would prefer to see the adjustable hosel throughout the fairway lineup to allow for more fine tuning.
Thanks. I looked at the Callaway website and found this:Not well educated, but Optifit4 is new and appears to allow loft and lie adjustments independent of one another (eg. can increase loft and decrease lie angle)
I can't remember did you dropped 5 Iron completely for the 9W?I ended up getting fit into a 3W, 7W, & 9W. They are the easiest to hit FW I've ever played. In fact... I got a 9W without even hitting it. In my fitting I was smoking the 7W and then my fitter had me hit a 5i & 5h. After that he said "based on the 7 we are definitely putting a 9W in your bag w/ same specs as 7." It was my best club @ the Grandaddy. much so that Johnny Rodriguez from Callaway named it my "Devine 9." He told me when in doubt... I should just hit that club.
I did... ended up 6-AW in irons. It actually has been eye opening how much better that 9W is for me compared to a longer iron.I can't remember did you dropped 5 Iron completely for the 9W?
I have a feeling a fairway upgrade is in the works for me. If I hit these, they seem like a really good match, so I'd better be careful if I try them outI did... ended up 6-AW in irons. It actually has been eye opening how much better that 9W is for me compared to a longer iron.
You won't regret it my guy. So easy to hit.I have a feeling a fairway upgrade is in the works for me. If I hit these, they seem like a really good match, so I'd better be careful if I try them out

Can't lie... that was pretty funny when you asked if I was going to try that 9 before we play. I was like "oh ****... I probably should."YOU ROASTED the 9w.
Fun fact. @THE BOV didn't hit the 9w during the fitting and forgot about it on the range until I reminded him. He smoked it all day. Big high ball flights that just stayed on target
Its a lasting impression to know we were going to be excellent in the cart togetherCan't lie... that was pretty funny when you asked if I was going to try that 9 before we play. I was like "oh ****... I probably should."![]()
I truly hope to do it again my manIts a lasting impression to know we were going to be excellent in the cart together
Do you find the face to be just as shallow as last years elyte standard fairway? For me, as someone who hits a lot of fairway woods off the tee, I’m seeing consistency I’ve never seen before with the new Quantum fairway line. I play the Max model with maximum forgiveness and speed. The most versatile 3 wood on the planet. Easy to hit and elevate off the deck, workable, and fun to tee up.
It’s new to fairways but was on the Elyte hybrid last year. It allows for greater control over lie than the previous version. Not well educated, but Optifit4 is new and appears to allow loft and lie adjustments independent of one another (eg. can increase loft and decrease lie angle)
