Callaway Quantum Fairway Woods: The Evolution of Speed and Playability

I was wondering this exact same thing.

After reading all the reviews, I ordered the Max last night but with the Red Denali shaft which should give a bit more launch based on the specs and what I have experienced in my Titleist fairway woods. Looking forward to getting it and comparing to the Titleist. Love the Quantum Max driver.
I played today with my rogue 5w and don’t have a draw so figure I’ll stick with the Max as I can use all the distance I can get

So I’ve working on the swing lately and today in the garage 5w was cooking!!!! Man these are hot off the face, and they sound and feel like it! I don’t have any number but I do have a link to one of the swings. I really love this 5w! The sound is probably the best I’ve ever da from a fairway wood!

The 5w is a launcher. It's a remarkable club. Really bridges the gap from the mini to my hybrid.

What’s with the big sticker near the hosel that references the shaft adapters - is that new for this series as I don’t remember ever seeing that

My last sim session narrowed down my carry yardage for my 5w when I get ahold of it. It's going to carry 220-225 with a nice cut and land soft. I had a chance to hit that shot today. Green had water front and left and it was 225 to the middle of the green.

I almost dunked it. In the wrong hole. I was playing the blue flag but aiming middle of the green. The ball hit soft and checked up 2 feet from impact. Kinda has me wondering what kind of spin I'm going to get with the Mini Spinner once it comes in.

I also hit another green from 230 out with the 5w. I have a lot of confidence with this club at the moment.

I hope it arrives in the next 4 weeks.... 👀 :ROFLMAO:

It said backordered after I placed my order. So not looking good. Fingers crossed.

Another session tonight in the garage with the 5w amongst other things but the 5w is the standout for me. I’ve been working on my swing and when it feels off I go back to this club. It’s just the comfort club in my bag. Easy to hit and launch into the net and even in the shots that I don’t think are hit hard, well they still sound like they are! Hurt at my brother in laws yesterday on his sim and just easy to work with. Getting 245 out of it consistently is just what I want to see. Between this and the quantum max hybrid I don’t know which I like better because they’re amazing!

Say hello to my “little” friend. This beauty showed up last night. I took advantage of the 2X trade in. I love the 5 and 7 why not add the 9? It’s paired with a Linq PC white 8x like the others. So hoping this is the 200yd club I’ve been looking for. I’m putting a WellMXS super on it this morning, I’ll have it in play this afternoon.

I went all in with the trade-in bonus and have 5, 7, 9, and 11W now in the Quantum, and boy, they are good, especially the 9 and 11 on shots into the green.

Here is one with the 9w from 175 Yards today - just loving how great a decent angle I can get with these and get them to hold greens

I needed my 3w today. I still managed to hit the hybrid left OB on this particular hole. It made no difference for me today. I moved the 5w to commit to the 3w. Just haven't had enough non-injury downtime to put in the work.

Only got 9 in before the rain hit us yesterday. I was able to hit the 9W three times, and all three shots were perfect. The first was my second shot on a long, seriously silly par 5. It set me up for a solid 9i into the green, and I walked away with a two-putt par on a hole I never seem to play well—probably because I love it so much. Two holes later, I hit the 9W off the tee on a really short par 4. It left me a 58° into the green, and I made birdie! The last time I pulled it was on the 9th, a shortish par 5. I had 200 in and was thrilled—this was the perfect chance to see if this thing would do exactly what I bought it for. Perfect strike, 8 feet from the hole… EAGLE! I absolutely love the flight. Super high, lands soft, and goes right around 200–205. So far, I’m a very happy camper! We were playing quota, and I 20 points through 9 with two birdies and an eagle. I’m a 10 on that course, so I only needed 26 points. Of course, some serious thunderstorms rolled in and we had to call it. I was well on my way to cashing out yesterday! Giving it another go this morning on my home track. Can’t wait!

I have one hole at the course I usually play that gives me the perfect set up to test 11w against the 6I the six iron won round one but there will be more match ups to come

Contact was better with the fairway wood.

Yep that was all me I lifted a bit and half topped it and it still only left me about 40 yards short I should get 4 or 5 more chances at that shot this year so there will be more rounds of it

One of those two clubs will punish the **** out of a missed shot.
The other one is the fairway wood.

The quantum forgiveness is a bit of a confidence cheat code when we got that group together to play the ranch he in MA a few weeks ago I hit a 5w from 200 yd that held the green on 18 which is not something I would normally have the guts to do but I have the confidence to try with the quantum’s which is big for me

The FW should be the winner here.

Long term I think it will be I have really liked the shots I have been getting with the 9w and 11w especially I have already removed 5i for 9w this is just my experiment to see if 6 goes too

So the 9 is non adjustable, is the 7 also not adjustable?

I only have the 5 which is, just used it today and thought it was a solid club

All Callaway Quantum 7 woods are not adjustable.

Also - my Elyte 7w is my favorite club, and is fixed hosel. I wouldn’t adjust it if I could. In fact all my adjustable clubs are just set at N/S right now now and have been all year.

Thanks I am going to use the 5w a bit more before I decide to add another club, between this and the 4hy OS I have most things covered, still wonder if I should have gone max D but so far the standard 5w is working well
