I did this for me and it's unbelievable the difference in Quantum. conservatively like 6-7y gain from material alone? More height probably from the higher ball speed as its on the same launch as the Elyte. Very cool to see real numbers here

Eww. 🤣

I get the why they use it, I just want everyone to branch out a little haha
I won't lie, the fact I have two hybrid heads next to each other and the one called Max is much smaller hurts my head a bit.

But at the same time, it ups the performance in ever noticeable way for me so far. So maybe it makes sense after all.

So, I haven't been a hybrid guy in many many years. That changed this year. The OG UW was a bit of a unicorn for me and prior to that I had some driving irons in the bag or I would try and fight previous generation hybrids.

During my fitting, I hit the new UW, but for whatever reason, I just was not getting along with it. Gerritt asked if I was a hybrid guy at all and I smirked at him and said no, but I want to keep an open mind. Immediate success. The setup doesn't give that closed feeling to me at address that would have been thinking hook machine. It's very neutral IMO.

I will say this, it's probably the easiest club in the bag to hit because I went to it several times during my match with Zack on day 2 to ensure I get one in play. It was long and it was straight and it gave me confidence.

If you are on the fence, just give it a try. I was blown away with how easy this thing is to hit. I know the driver is going to get a ton of love, but I wouldn't be surprised to see this steal the show

Don’t…. Need…….. new…… hybrids

I love the simple look of the crown at address

I ended up with 2 different hybrid models in the bag.

Quantum Max OS 4h
Quantum Max 5h

My main takeaway across the entire Quantum line is easy launching and solid feel. The hybrids are no exception.

The Quantum Max OS is closer in size to the Elyte lineup and will give you more confidence looking at a larger head.

The Quantum Max hybrid is more compact and I feel I can go after a number.

Here they are in comparison to the Elyte 3h

Have you gotten these out much? What is it like playing them as a combo?

I wish I could do a chart like that haha. Thank you. It’s a great club. I may pick up the 4h

I haven't swung any of these but heard @JB say several times, man I love this hybrid. They look really freaking good and with Speed Wave 2.0 these things are sure to be awesome. Since I'm a hybrid guy now these will definitely be looked at.

This is the 1st hybrid I’ve ever gamed outside of one in a cheap box set when I 1st started golfing.
I’m in the Quantum Max and currently seeing a really strong ball flight just missing left a lot.
To combat that last night I changed the adapter setting (thank goodness for adjustability!) to a more flat lie angle and will give that a run. If I can straighten out the ball flight with this club then I may have found a great alternative to 4 iron!

Only had them on course at the Hideaway. But they do what I need them to do.

The QM 5h is my long approach club from 185-200. Flight is a draw that can hook on you if you're not swinging your best. When I try to cut the ball it is a straight shot or very slight cut.

The QM OS 4h is my 200-220 club and plays similar to the 5h.

My favorite thing about these is you can flight them however you want. My normal flight is mid/mid. But my favorite shot with these is the high launch with high spin. It still carries plenty long and will drop like a sack of flour.

I think the Speedwave 2.0 is going to be really beneficial and a great move by Callaway.
I find myself hitting longer clubs low on the face more often than not, which I’m sure most likely do, and have seen some really good numbers on thinned hybrid shots.

I don’t get that fancy with my hybrids, I just want high and straight but do like the feedback. Any idea when they will get more on course time?

I agree completely. I know my miss is low as well

Whenever I can find time. I was close to taking them out a few times, but didn't want to risk the embargo. So it's been a lot of sim time with them.

So I know that hybrids may not be as flashy as other clubs and I myself went to ECPC with aspirations of putting a 26 Callaway UT in the bag for the 4 iron spot. Well I did not and that is not to say anything negative about the UT it is fantastic. I'm just playing a game that needs more consistency in that spot.

I literally took 3 swings with the UT and my fitter John had gone to look for a shaft for me to try and on his way back I met him halfway and said lets go hybrid. John laughed and we went hybrid hunting. There wasn't a 4h but I hit the 3h and I only needed 2 swings to know and John confirmed. 4H was going in the bag.

It is a smaller head than the Elyte 4h which I have and loved, and I didn't realize there was a better shape for a hybrid until this one. A compact profile with a gloss black crown! It doesn't get much better.

The addition of the step sole was huge off the turf at ECPC! I'm a big fan of this as I put it to use in the Hybrid and Fairways, and it get through the turf and and the stability it gives just WOW. Continuing with the OptiFit 4 was another big thing for me as I like to tinker with the possibilities of what my shot could look like. I may leave it alone as it was left at neutral for me by my fitter. Also the returning heel and toe weighting is back in 13 and 3 grams which I noticed worked a bit better for me with this over the Elyte thus far.

All in all if you need a hybrid look at the Quantum line they're hot and they look good! They feel/sound terrific and the ball just goes for what seems like miles.

Can you all help describe the feeling you get when the club moves through the turf? Sounds like its awesome, but would appreciate any further color commentary around it if willing to take a stab at it.

I don't usually like hybrids but man I really like the shape of these.

Will have to give these a spin. The Quantum Max reminds me of the old Adams hybrids.

So the best way I can describe it is in situations where I was in the rough with it like off the tee on the 1st hole day 2. I had topped the crap out the driver and the lie was awful at best and I Decided to just advance and get to the next shot. The 4h went into to the the thick wet grass and came out faster and easier than any hybrid I have used. I was expecting a low bullet and got a high draw that went about 15-20 yards shorter than my normal 4h distance. On the fairway it was even better! It felt like the step sole just let it bounce (glide maybe) across the turf just bruising it. I not a sweeper with the hybrid so seeing that I was pretty stoked.

It definitely seems to have some of that DNA in shaping.

Man I didn't really get why it was so appealing to me at ECPC. Then I got home and was comparing things and wow. @amarkabove noticed it as well being an Elyte hybrid user and he may have some better photos showing the shape a bit better than the ones i posted.

I do have some more glamour shots of the 4h, but sadly I had to go to work and they are on the computer at home. I will get them up later this evening.

I appreciate this is unlikely, but did anyone get any comparisons numbers wise to AI Smoke? Asking that, because, if Callaway followed the normal line progression, these should replace AI Smoke...
