Canongate/Sequoia Golf sold to Club Corp

Just got an email from Canongate that they have been bought by Club Corp this afternoon. This is a big announcement especially in the Atlanta area where Canongate owns over 20 different courses.

Sequioa has recently puchased some venerable Atlanta golf clubs and had been investing heavily in green conversions at clubs.

Not sure what this means to us from a membership, ability to play multiple clubs, and fee standpoint. Will be interested to see as the Canongate fee structure is very different than the fee structure at most Club Corp facilities.

Completely agree with this for us in the ATL area. Im a member of a ClubCorp course and I am curious to see how this goes. Sometimes the ClubCorp members dont like alot of outside play and have strict times they play. Could see them bumping heads with some of the Canongate Folks if all courses are opened to everyone

I feel that a lot of the ClubCorp
Members strike friendships with the rangers and can get away with almost anything at times
