Yeah, I can see it. But I also think the actual impact “could” be small.

No. It'd make the round take forever. Party golf for the entire round. Ouch

I'd love this for a 4 man scramble. Have a little bar between the seats and it would be fantastic 
I've seen that before as well - that's an idea I can get behind. Four riders in the same cart however, I cannot.
We had a 4 person cart when I played Shadow Mountain in Scottsdale. It's a par 3 course, so it didn't make a difference time-wise. It was really difficult to maneuver around corners because it was so long. It'd be cool for scrambles maybe, but that wouldn't be cost effective. I still think single person carts would speed things up the most. Everyone just shoots over to their own ball.
Not a fanoftgis approach, would add significant amount of time to round. I prefer the idea of solo rider on something motorized if someone wants to ride vs walk.

However, I’ve done this before with a group and it was awesome. Really fun to hang with everyone between holes and heckle down the fairway after the tee shot.
We would split from the fairway to keep things moving, or chuck a wedge to the guy who topped his approach and let him know he was walking to green. We kept pace easily with the group in front and finished under 4 hours.

That would be a shoot me now in terms of slow play. Don’t think it’d slow down just a little but a lot.
I just don't think it would be that fun. I get tired of being dependent on someone else in a 2 man cart lol
I play a threesome every Thursday and I will sometimes intentionally sit in my truck an extra 15 minutes to let the other two guys pair up so I can get my own cart. It's so much easier to track your own ball when you can go straight to it and not have to go back and forth from one to the next.

I think that 4 person carts would be harder on the course due to the extra weight in the cart, much the same as trucks Vs. cars on the highway.
This. It would be a nightmare.
Want no part of this, in fact I want to go the opposite way and go single person carts. Get rid of traditional 2 person rides, everyone gets their own cart and can go straight to their ball.
As much as I would like to believe everyone would go to their own ball, I'm of the belief the folks that take two carts to each and every ball would do the same but now with 4 carts
Could be, but I don’t see people taking both carts to one ball much around here. Most have both carts going to the shortest from their cart ident the ball and the furthest of the two carts maybe moving to the side to be out of the direct line of the cart behind them.
