Played Crystal Springs for the first time yesterday. A little disappointing. Quick rundown:
The Good:
- Course itself is in good shape, greens were a little slow but in good shape. I didn't find the course itself to be anything special. Definitely towards the bottom of my list but I haven't played a ton of courses. If I have to be honest its probably at the very bottom of my list as far as design.
- Course is very tough but fair
- Golftoberfest so it was only $59 which included a beer and a pretzel!
- Restaurant was nice, food was good. Pro shop was pretty large and the people in there were helpful.
- Cart girls throughout, fairly priced drinks
The Bad
- Pulled up to the bag drop, 5 people working there but nobody wanted to help or provide much info
- The practice range was in rough shape, there was also 5 buckets for 10 bays. Not too important but for a place with 6 golf courses, it was pretty bad.
- Starter was a little frazzled and didn't seem like he had much organization, which should have signaled what was to come.
- Took 4 hours to finish 12 holes. Seems like they just piled on the groups. This seems to be a recurring theme for all public courses lately, but this was especially bad. I called it quits after 13. Every time I pulled up to a tee box after Hole 3, there was a group waiting and then there would always be 1-2 groups behind me that pulled up. After calling it quits I drove through to 18 and at every hole there were multiple groups waiting. This would have easily been a 6 hour round.

Iron Valley just came up on group golfer. Great deal for one of the most fun courses in the greater Hershey area.

Excited for this one at Dauphin Highlands in a couple weeks! Tiny hockey nets instead of holes. Surprisingly challenging when you suck at putting 
Played in that once. There's some really good players at DH. Need to get you out to ODCC

Yeah saw that yesterday. At least its 2 years away yet. Poor people that live across the street from the course. I know these data warehouses use a ton of water for their cooling systems. I will have to make a point to get up there next year. Hopefully they keep taking care of it until closing dayIt’s official. At least on paper.

2 of the best!! Place looks fantastic.
Massive piece of property. It also has the only USGA rated par 3 course in North America. Just a really cool place. We’ve been waiting since the spring to get in.
Going to need that invite next time. Sounds very much worth the drive.
Don't think I'll ever get to play there again, unfortunately. Rumor has it the initiation fee is almost half a mil. Might be a one-and-done for me unless I can find it in an auction.
