My dad called me today and said he put the old Tour Edge Bazooka fairway I gave him about 20 years ago back in the bag after many years playing without a fairway. He said the results were good, but he would like something a bit bigger and more forgiving. I told him I would try to find something. He only uses it off the fairway so something not too deep faced. I think either a 3HL or 4 wood would be best for him with his swing speed, probably an R flex but would take anything. He is a cheap bastard frugal, so it does not need to be anything too recent, but maybe something from past 10 years or so. Let me know if you have something that is just sitting around that you would sell for fairly cheap. Could maybe do head only as well.

Edit: He is right handed.

Thanks in advance!

Might want to verify RH or LH just so people know!

Sounds like he’s not the only one who is cheap. If my Dad was still living I would try to get him anything he wanted. Different situation I guess.

Maybe his dad just wants a bit of an upgrade. Nothing crazy. Easy man.

Would have to nab an adapter and shaft but I’ll send the head for dirt cheap. Shoot me a PM if interested. Pretty sure this is right at 10 years old.IMG_0423.jpeg

Actually, I need to look but I also might have an R flex shaft. Pretty sure I do but is 75g. We can chat on that as well.

Find him an RBZ 3HL. Still a really solid club.

Being frugal does run in the family genes (as well as a terrible hairline). If he wanted higher-end/new clubs, I would certainly look to get him hooked up with some. Considering he has had two good rounds with a fairway wood in the past 15 years, I don't think jumping up to a new Callaway fairway is necessarily warranted. Especially knowing that if he has one terrible round with it, it will be sent to the basement purgatory, not to be seen again for 15 years.

That is a good one I had forgotten about. Thanks, I will look around to see what is available.

Thanks for the offer, he will need a bit more forgiveness that that can offer. Just curious, is that the blue head? I thought I remembered blue accents on the bottom as well?

Ive got this Callaway 4 wood I could ship to you for $30

How cheap are we talking?

I have a Cobra King F9 Speedback (5-6) Fairway Wood Regular Flex that I'd give to you for trade in value to Callaway which is $60 ($40 + 50% bonus right now) plus shipping which is $8-$15 depending where you are. They go for about $75 to $110 still. It's got an adjustable hosel and still a bit of tech, but it's been in my bag for about 6 years and I still love it.

I have an old 20* Adams Mini Pro 3H laying around too, you can have it for shipping cost. Pretty decent shaft it in for it's age. They go for about $15-$30 on ebay, you can have it for $10, + shipping which is usually $8-$15.

If all of that sounds uninteresting, I really liked the Cobra Bafflers, you could probably find one of those for about $15-25?
